This is a hidden gem. The food was delicious. Chef Mica’s breakfast potatoes were my favorite, but everything was great including the coffee. I was also excited to see they had oat milk available as a dairy alternative. Good selection of pastries with some gluten free and//or dairy free options. Vegan items are also on the menu. There is something for everyone.
Mother's Day, I wish we had made reservations elsewhere! We sat there for a long time at a table with a couple dead flowers. The server came over took our drink order in 15 minutes later came back with one drink for the three of us, it was the saddest Mimosa I've seen in my life. Then a couple minutes later he came back with an even more pathetic looking mimosa and then he never came back to give my kiddo her water so she helped herself to a soda in the cooler. Waters took a long time too. Poor guy forgot the appetizer so we didn't get that. Then for three mimosas served in plastic cups a quarter of the way full, we paid $49 LOL when the food finally arrived we had no napkins and no silverware. I found a couple napkins on the counter and took those and when he came back by I asked him for another napkin and some silverware, he dropped the silverware in a pile in the middle of the two tables. He was clearly working alone! Which was odd because there were three other people behind the counter, one of which looked to be the owner. No one was helping this guy, no one was smiling, no one was going around to see how people were doing, mind you it was not busy! I'm not sure what the ambiance is, I don't understand the style of this place. The black plates were weird and the food had no garnish like they didn't even care what the presentation looks like, clearly not even a little bit of parsley or an orange slice, it was strange. The food was not cooked properly, they said they had sausage patty they put sausage links in the sandwich and then for my friend's meal the yolk was cooked all the way through and it should have been runny. I don't know maybe the owner should consider a food truck instead. I really don't like giving poor reviews because that means that I didn't have a nice meal or enjoy my time, so it's a bummer. I just don't understand what was happening at this place. I don't know where the breakdown was in leadership, it's not going to last in Sarasota! My recommendation would be that they go to the dollar 25 store and get either white plates or the blue plates, as they always have these in stock and they would look much nicer, they should put some garnish on the plates and change out the artwork and the owner should walk around and greet people and be happy that she's in business and she should be making sure that all the tables have what they need at all times and support her staff. And maybe some fresh flowers from trader joe's, they are very inexpensive and add a very nice touch.
The wife and I had a delicious breakfast here . The food was so awesome. Wife had a Maine lobster omelette and I had BLT sandwich . If your ever in Sarasota, this is one Restaurant you had to visit .?
This is a lovely spot for coffee and breakfast! I got a latte and the balance was perfect and the chocolate croissant was delicious! They have wonderful gluten free options as well!
Ordered an iced coffee and Croque Madame to-go and it’s honestly one of the best things I’ve eaten in a long time. So often a Croque Madame can be rather flavorless but this is packed with deliciousness. Coffee is Joffrey’s and even just a simple iced coffee tastes special. Will definitely be back.
This was my third and last time going there. You will find right away that the wait staff is almost non existent. I had to repeatedly ask for silverware and pepper, which I ultimately had to go get myself. On to the food, I asked for two eggs over medium, sausage links and a toasted muffin. My food came out in a timely manner but the muffin was microwaved, my eggs were also microwaved as well as my side of sausage. The server was friendly and polite but has clearly never worked in the service industry before. I appreciate the positive vibe of this place but they simply don’t have the basics down.
Fabulous!!! The French toast was fantastic!!! Everything was wonderful. The fries are perfect. Service was impeccable as well. Highly recommend.
The brioche French toast is beyond delicious. I have had French toast in many parts of the world. But this is by far the best. It looked like a mile high when presented. No need for syrup because it was so sweet with just the right amount of cinnamon. This cafe is a great neighborhood addition. Please stop by. Oh and the bagels taste like Brooklyn NY bagels.
Coming from New York I was pleased to see that their bagels are from Brooklyn Bagel they everything was creepy as was amazingI had an iced cappuccino as well which is very good not too bitter what's wrong next time I'm in Dublin going to add extra espresso. shot it.The vibe here is pretty cool I love the scene outside really feel like you're in some European Cafe Bistro
