I have been living in Lakewood ranch for 3 years. I moved here from Broward county.This is the best sushi I’ve had in Sarasota or manatee counties.It’s fresh sushi with a GREAT presentation and professional packaging.The rolls are nice size and taste amazing!It’s worth the trip from wherever you live in the area.
My grandma and I dined in today and we ordered 3 different rolls, they were all delicious and great quality! Great spot for a quick lunch, it is primarily take away and they actually have their own delivery service so that you don’t have to deal with doordash upcharging you! Of course they are also on all of the delivery apps if that’s what you fancy. :) there is seating and we ended up dining in. The owner is very kind, very patient, and very hardworking! Will be back!
My husband and I tried Blue Koi Sushi for the first time tonight (recommended by a friend)- WOW, Larry and his sushi chef’s knocked it out of the park! Delicious and savory! We will definitely be back again and again!
Definitely recommend this sushi spot. It’s only takeout or delivery which we didn’t know but it worked out totally fine for us because we were able to take it home and it was just as good. It was soo fresh and the workers were so accommodating with me being pregnant. They were able to get our sushi out in 15 minutes and he even brought it to our car for us. The customer service is excellent and do not hesitate to order from here if you love sushi!
Usually I am very happy with the food. However this time the rolls were not exactly as described, but still tasty, and the price of the Monday Special was changed from 3 rolls for $30 to 3 rolls for $35. I would have liked to have known that when I ordered the special not when I went to pick it up.
For a To Go location & being a local, it's a little pricey. All the ingredients were very fresh & tasty, it's the kinda place I'd go on a special occasion, not my standard sushi stop. I can get the same rolls for less @ a number of other place locally. U should try it for yourselves.
Great little hidden gem! Take away mostly, but the quality of the fish and rice was very good. The pick up is really convenient. I look forward to ordering different dishes.
On our most recent visit to Sarasota from Baltimore-DC area, and was lucky to find this place. Had tried several other sushi joints in Sarasota, most of which were good....but Blue Koi is really some of the best sushi you will find and significantly better than anything else in Sarasota. This fish is high quality, firm, no fishy smell at all...the rice is perfectly packed - doesn't fall apart.. Great flavors . It's very difficult to eat sushi anywhere else in Sarasota after eating here..
Excellent sushi and poke bowls! The presentation is exactly like the ad photos. Easily 5 stars. Delicately prepared and very fresh ingredients. Great service and very friendly. Highly recommended!
Food was fresh and tasty, service was fast and owner engaged us in conversation while we waited. Great local spot for sushi.
