We had a lovely experience at a Sprig of Thyme. It was my husband and I and my parents. All four of us had dishes we raved about. My husband had the duck my father and I both had steak (mine was the special and gis was the filet) and my mother had the shrimp and scallops. The environment is my absolute favorite kind, I love cozy places with booths. Our waiter was efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

We visited A Sprig of Thyme last week and loved it. It has an old school feel, but in a good way. Nice atmosphere, great service and fantastic food. They also have a nice wine list. The dining room is small but really cozy. They do get busy, so reservations are suggested. Their menu covers all of the bases and out of the five of us, we all enjoyed everything we had to eat. Our waitress was so friendly and professional too. I'll definitely go back again.

Food quality, quantity, preparation and service are exquisite. From the hot warm bread with savory butter to the choices of duck, lamb, filet and mutliple fish dishes all prepared and served hot and fresh appropriately seasoned with generous portions. The best meal we have had in Sarasota and we have had many.

Enjoyed our dinner from start to finish. Jason was exceptional and entertaining, made us feel welcome!

I highly recommend this place. Wait staff is friendly, the food fresh and obviously made with some care. Portions are just right. My wife said the lamb was one of the best dishes she's had. Looking forward to visiting again in a couple of weeks.

Absolutely the best meal I have had in the last 2 years in this town! Terrific atmosphere and our server Rosemary was superb! We all had something different, salmon, filet, scallops, triple tail, all were raving. Excellent wine.

We had a great experience! The service was very good and the food delicious. From the appetizers through dessert. Food was well portioned and nicely served

We had food from here a year ago that was delicious, but it was far better in the restaurant. Excellent service, delicious food, anda very gracious chef. The restaurant is small with a warm and inviting decor. We had a nice bottle of wine from a a nice wine list to accompany some very creative and tasty dishes - a meat pie with venison, Gamberrada Siciliano (lump crab and herb stuffed jumbo shrimp), and veal and a lovely seafood dish called The Mediterranean Shipwreck. A delightful place for a meal.

In a city of some of the most amazing restaurants Sprig of Thyme stands out in front. Wonderful from the service to the most creative and outstanding food by Chef Scott. We have visited many times and each time seems to exceed the last. Highly recommend!

What a delight! From the excellent first impression made by the understated, Woody decor and the beautifully set tables (white tablecloths, a dash of fresh flowers, nice silverware) and the cheerful welcome and service (thanks Rosemary, thanks Scott) one knows this will lead into a very pleasant, relaxed experience. And it does! It would be redundant to mention the food —others have accurately praised it— but I will add that the compact wine list is well diversified and decently priced. In sum: a delightful, romantic true restaurant —not an over-amplified soundbox slinging “blackened or fried” fare— that gets it right. Delicious food (leave room for desserts), excellent service and a charming setting. Well done, all around!
