Great spot for shrimp, oysters, Cobb salad with lobster and shrimp. You’ll be in seafood heaven. Outside dining only.
I don’t write a lot of reviews, but the food was so bad tonight I felt compelled. I can easily look past service and cost when the food is good. The food was so so so bad.
What a disappointment. I got the tacos and they were covered in tomatoes. I'm allergic. I scrape all the tomatoes off and there's literally only a stale piece of tortilla and a few pieces of bland slaw. For $20 you'd think they'd try harder/mention it's cover in tomatoes. My friend who's picture is attached got slaw which he paid 4$ for and said it was also bland.
Huge Oysters for cheap! I would recommend eating here for a quick bite but not for a big meal. A few items were overpriced but overall great service and restaurant!
Great seafood take out spot in Seaside. Everything is fantastic! Oysters were perfect and the grouper sandwich was awesome!
Some of these negative reviews may have been under old management. We had an excellent experience in Feb 2022. The cold shrimp were perfectly done, boiled with some nice Cajun spices and then chilled nicely; not over cooked at all. Gumbo was delicious, Greek salad was very fresh with lots of sliced cucumbers, radishes, olives, cherry tomatoes. And the Bloody Marys were mixed at the requested medium spiciness. Very nice guy took our order and mixed the drinks. It wasn’t cheap, but I didn’t find it outrageous either, considering the location and setting. Lots of nice outdoor seating, a perfect place to take a break.
I visit Seaside for two things: the quaint charm, and the Lobster roll from The Shrimp Shack! It's simple and perfect with a splash of lemon and a little butter to enhance the velvety texture of the Lobster. The only disappointment was the fact that it has doubled in price of the last year or two. Be prepared to shell out $40 for this scrumptious sandwich.
You will pay a lot for very little. You will eat here for lunch and then wonder where you can get lunch. Not a good value for your money even for Florida
Literally the worst experience I have had in a long time. I guess because it was the end of the night or maybe the quality is jist that awful but my piña colada was absolutely disgusting and let's not even talk about the quality of the sandwich. Overly priced for poor quality of food. Really disappointed overall.
Key lime pie was decent, only reason I’m giving it one star. The guy at the counter was also nice. Besides that, I have nothing good to say. The crab claws taste like pure saltwater, the royal red shrimp are weird and slimey, the gumbo is… ok, but came out cold. It also smelled like dead fish. All in all it’s very overpriced and not worth your money, there are many better places in seaside.
