Staff was very friendly...food tasted great...drinks were delicious! My wife and I stopped in to Stinky's during lunch while visiting the area from Philly. We had about a 20 minute wait for a table which wasn't bad at all. While waiting we sat at the bar and had a drink. My wife had the frozen margarita and I had something called stink juice which was also a frozen drink. Both were delicious! Once seated I ordered the Stinky Gumbo which I really enjoyed. For my main course I had the fried shrimp basket and my wife had the crab cakes. The shrimp was good but in my opinion could have been seasoned a little better. The crab cakes were amazing and tasted very fresh. They also came on a bed of stir fried vegetables which were also flavorful. While waiting for our food to come I kept watching the servers bring food out to other tables and everything that came from the kitchen looked absolutely delicious. Overall we really enjoyed our lunch at Stinky's and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!
We had a large group and were seated right away. The waiter was very patient, we had a large group with several children. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The house salad was unique with the corn, green beans and other assorted vegetables, but was delicious. I had one of the catches of the day (Golden Tile) and it was prepared perfectly. We didn't have to wait long, but there is a deck behind the restaurant with huge turtles that my kids enjoyed feeding. We will definitely be back next time we are in Destin.
Wait was long, but well worth it. The shrimp was excellent and we have great Margaritas. Even the slaw was good.Wanted to pickup a togo order a few nights later and they said nope, not taking togo orders tonight.
Our first trip to the Destin area. The absolute best meal we have had! Delicious and fairly priced…When we arrived we were told it was 1.5 hour wait. We almost walked away and soooo glad we didn’t. Right next door is a local bar so we hung out and met some really good people.Service was friendly and prompt. Food selection was excellent and very delicious. Even the drink prices were good.Considering we plan to make this a yearly trip…Stinkys will most certainly be at the top of our list!! I apologize for taking the pics after we had already started eating ?.
My family visited this restaurant based on the local retail stores recommending it and the yelp reviews. Not sure how they get all the 5 star reviews. Most of my party got the overpriced grouper at $43/plate. I had the grilled shrimp basket. I have never seen such small shrimp. My 2 hush puppies were dry, burnt and flavorless. The restaurant is loud and the tables are crowded. Our server was great. We found a better seafood restaurant just down the road for better food and better prices. The added 4% credit card use fee made the experience even worse.
The food was good, a bit overpriced but I understand with costs rising the way they are. What I did not appreciated was the added surcharge for using a credit card. There was in excess of 5% added to our bill which far exceeds credit card processing fees. This is a business cost that you can write off. Customers cannot. I will never be back.
We enjoyed our food, the atmosphere, and the friendly staff. If you’re looking for some good shrimp and seafood, definitely give Stinky’s a try. Plus, we saw Jimmy Graham (Chicago Bears)!

Had fish tacos, fish basket and shrimp basket. My flounder was fried and strangely seemed smoked which I wasn’t thrilled with but all in all positive experience, good food, friendly service and very cool place. Really enjoyed their fruity slaw and fries.
