I'm very sorry to report this but...Ordered a Fried Green Tomato BLT Sandwich and my husband ordered the Chicken Philly Cheese Steak. The BLT was awful! The the bacon was very undercooked and greasy, the single fried green tomato didn't even cover a half of the sandwich. There was barely any lettuce and the bread was mediocre and not really fresh but not toasted. The chicken Philly cheese steak was not good. The flavor was a little bland and barely any of the onions, peppers & mushrooms and didn't seem like they were grilled. Very disappointed having spent nearly $40!
As a native of the City of Brotherly Love, I was anxious to try South of Philly's cheese steak and I was not disappointed. This was the most authentic, from the roll to the provolone, that I have had outside of the Philadelphia area! Great job, thank you, we will be back!
Working in the area for the week so I needed a place for lunch. For the last 4 days I’ve been here 3 times and every time it has been excellent service from the staff and delicious food. All the ladies who control the register have been so nice and polite
Excellent - excellent Philly Cheesesteak. As good or better than anything in Philadelphia. This place is locally owned and operated and they are spot on with the cheesesteak. Give it a try. It is delicious.
Very disappointed to get home and see my to go order. I’m pretty sure the person that made these could see they were burned ?
Amazing food and great service. The 8in Philly and grilled chicken sandwich was fantastic!
Kristy was hands down super amazing! The atmosphere, the Philly vibe and of course their cheesesteaks are amazing! Every chance I can, I stop in because I then feel like I'm home! Thank you all for a great job!
This place used to be fantastic. It has been disappointing as of late.I've been a local regular since the original owners.I would like to share some constructive criticism-Todays sandwich's Sam's Club hoagie roll is nothing like an Amorosa roll. If you have to replace of one of the key items to the quality of your product, you should probably make customers aware of that so they can make an informed choice. In the event that this was a momentary outage, at least substitute something similar (Publix has nice crusty but airy rolls, right up the road) rather than changing the consistency of the dish.Additionally, today's salad which was 2/3rds the usual portion (now a boat inside a to-go box), had chopped cucumber that has gone mushy and slimy. -See Photo-Cucumbers can often freeze when in a commercial cold well, especially at the bottom of the pan. It is also possible that the cucumbers were past their usefulness, I suspect a bit of both because some seemed frostbit and some spoiled. It's better to 86 an item then to create an unpleasant experience for your customers. Please South of Philly, let's see a return to the former glory that made this a success. You cant sacrifice quality and retain your rep.You charge a premium, we should expect a premium, consistent product.
I'm from up north. Grew up eating Philly cheese steaks. Moved to Florida 5 years ago. I haven't found a decent one yet. Until I ate here. This is the BEST cheese steak in FL. I will be back. This is my go to place now. Must try!
Great burger. Well cooked and juicy. Fries were good too. We'll go back and try the Philly steak sometime.
