A great place in Santa Rosa. Shrimp was crunchy and on top of what seemed like bottomless fries. They don’t accept reservations or call ahead seating so keep that in mind. We were quoted 1 hour of wait time and ended up being 2 hours. This is the reason for 4 and not 5 stars. They need a better system in place for timing seating other than that great food and great atmosphere.

I have been eating here since they opened and the food has been top notch every time ! We always eat at the bar upstairs and alway bring my own tomatoes to eat with their blackened grouper. It is the best cooked grouper on the beach. Very fresh and served with their Cole slaw which is wonderful. Service is the best and have gotten to know every member of the staff. The view and fresh breezes ain’t bad either. Try it you will like it I guarantee it!

We loved this place! The best food (Gulf shrimp and sweet tea chicken tenders) and friendly service. Fun atmosphere and beautiful views.

Amazing view, delicious food, and great live music! Our waiter was phenomenal the best waiter we have had in a long time!! Thank you for the best experience, we will definitely be back!

Yes. Yes. Yes. Everything is a yes here. Raw oysters are amazing and the horseradish is SPICY! The quinoa salad is also great! My tan is the blackened shrimp and French fries! The fries are so good!! The drinks are also great and the vibe is all around amazing. This place has great vibes, loud music, and phenomenal service! Promise it’s worth the wait time!

Glad we came here on our last night of vacation. We had an early dinner and the staff, food, and atmosphere was great!

My family recently went on a vacation to the Santa Rosa Beach area. We ultimately decided on Shunk Gulley based on their location and atmosphere. The atmosphere is so nice. Right across from the beach, live music, bar upstairs, etc. The staff is extremely nice and accommodating. I have a one year old, and she was extremely cranky, and our server talked with her, laughed with her whenever she was at our table. Our server made great recommendations on what to eat and drinks. We couldn’t have been happier! Another tidbit, is I left my purse at the table when I had to abruptly leave with my one year old. I called the next day in hopes that they had it, and they did! The kicker was that I was already on my way back to Ohio, and the manager simply said, no problem, we will ship it back to you. THIS IS JUST HOW NICE THEY ARE! I am so impressed and will visit Shunk Gulley again!

Great location, great view, great food, great service! Seated immediately. Good selection for lunch and waitress was very attentive. Always a treat to eat at this restaurant.

Location- The restaurant is located on a corner right across the street from the beach. The Wait- Very long. Our wait for 8 people at 7:30p on Sunday was 2 hrs, so we walked across the street to hang out on the pier. We were able to sit in a lounge area outside. We ordered the Duck Fat Fries which were not that great. They weren't bad, but did not have the slight crunch a fry should have. It was more like a baked potato stick.Ambience- It was nice. We sat in the tent area where the band was. Mase Henderson I believe was the guys name. He said he would play some original music, but he was covering songs, which was not a problem. We just found it funny.Food- The food was not what it was hyped up to be. We did a lot of research to find the perfect place to get seafood because we are sort of foodies, but the food was just food. Nothing spectacular except the price. This would be what I would call a tourist trap. The prices are extremely high for regular seafood. $32 for a fish sandwich is ridiculous and they know it, but I am sure they do not care.Service- Our server was great. I did not catch her name, but she was very attentive.Overall- We will not return.

Stopped at this place to have dinner after a late night at the beach. It's a little ways from the beaches on 30A we were staying at but not too bad. We arrived around 9 PM and were told the wait would be an hour and a half but we only waited for about 20 minutes before our table was ready. The menu is small and not too extensive but there should be enough to satisfy most people. We got the tuna dip as an appetizer and it was absolutely excellent, highly recommend it. I got the hamburger and it was cooked perfectly and the aioli was delicious that they paired with it. The french fries were oversalted but good. My wife got the avocado chicken club and she enjoyed it but made the same comment about the fries. My son got the fried fish with macaroni and cheese and ate every bit of it. My daughter got the house salad and loved it.Our waiter was absolutely excellent and the rest of the staff was friendly too. The service was A+ so kudos to the wait staff and everyone else that was there.Overall, a good spot and I wouldn't hesitate to go back and try something else or get another burger.
