we went to this restaurant because we heard about the positive reviews of yummy food and good service. however we were extremely disappointed by the lack of service, the mediocrity of the food, and the overall incompetence. food wise the portions were small for the price and it was overall not very good flavoring. but the real issue came with the service. we were a party of 12 and while we understood a large party can be quite difficult we were disappointed by the lack of attention and communication. our server let us know after we finished our meal he could not divide our checks among all of us but he went back on his offer and decided to anyway. and he went on to take about an hour to get our checks ready and proceeded to dump them on the table to for us to sort out among ourselves. if this had been a Taco Bell or a Chili’s I would’ve understood the manner of this behavior but this restaurant was supposed to be of high caliber and service. quite unhappy with our experience.
Fabulous restaurant in Watercolor. Was going to sit outside, but construction next door squashed that dream. Inside was very nice. Upscale mid-century decor. Lots of steps to access restaurant. Honestly not sure there is an elevator. I got the grilled grouper with quinoa salad. Fish had great flavor, prepared very well. Quinoa salad came with a handmade cracker. Was pleasantly surprised to see hushpuppies on my plate. Sister ordered seafood pasta with shrimp and fish. She had them hold the mussels. Said it was very good. Tremendous meal, would return in a heartbeat. Lovely area, as well.
We came here for brunch (special occassion) and before arriving we called to ask if it's possible to reserve seating outdoor closer to the view. They said it was first come first serve. We took a chance but when we arrived the only seating close to the view is for party of 3 or more. Since it was only me and my husband, they werent able to seat us there even when almost half of the restaurant was empty!!! We were told NO abt our request of the seating with an attitude from the hostess. The foods were good but temperature should be warmer. Our servers were incredible. Price is OK. And then you can also get a valet parking. We might not come back anytime soon but it would be an option when we're in the area.
Absolutely wonderful!!!! We are here multiple times throughout our stay at the Watercolor Inn. You simply cannot go wrong with what you order. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, drinks… it’s all amazing! The bartenders they have truly care about the quality of drinks they are serving. Our favorites were the french toast, eggs Benedict, grouper with mashed potatoes and the shrimp satay!
This place was wonderful!! We sat outside with a lovely breeze and view. The inside looked really nice and spread out and clean as well. The food was delicious! I had the gulf fish sandwich and it was the freshest fish and the way it was prepared and dressed was perfection. My husband had the swordfish and was pleased with that as well. The service was great too. We would come back here again if in the area.
This place can get packed, so be prepared! Definitely make reservations when you can; when you can't, the host service is great and will take your phone number and text you when a table comes available. Bar seating is first-come-first-serve, so we often just go out and wait for spots to become available and eat at the bar. Beautiful venue, great drinks, fabulous food, outstanding service; what more could you ask for? All the staff is friendly and helpful, but our experience has been that the bartenders are an absolute delight! Witty and conversational (when they have a chance in quiet moments), they have often made our entire experience a FOOW extra special. Both of the Shrimp Appetizers are very tasty; for a main dish, their fresh grouper is always delicious.
While my pregnant wife peacefully slept in the room my friends and I spent a couple hours at the outside bar with Brenna. From the moment we sat down everything just flowed from conversation to the cocktails! I’m just saying give this girl a visit on your trip, from knowledge of any cocktail you could imagine to awesome banter and over all just good vibes. Give this girl some time out of your day you won’t regret it. Five stars - great service - lots of cocktail knowledge!
Amazing experience. The drinks were great, the food was FANTASTIC, the staff was awesome, and the outdoor dining views were better than expected! Earth was a great waiter. Party of 10 and we will definitely be back.
