Wavey’s is one of those places I’ve past dozens of times but never stopped at . It’s a small hole in the wall place , to go only but they do have picnic tables out front to sit at if you choose to eat there . I got the 3 meat combo so I could sample a few things and it was phenomenal. The chicken was moist had a great smokey taste to it , the ribs fell of bone and were very tender and the brisket had a great flavor to it . The bbq beans had a sweeter taste to it reminds me of apple and cinnamon and was had a good flavor to it . They have two different sauces a mild and hot , I went with the mild this time it was a tomato based sauce .I will definitely be back and this is gonna be a go to if I am back in the area .

Wavey's is THE PLACE for great tasting barbecue. Super friendly customer service. Ribs to pork to chicken, it's all fantastic. The collards and potato salad are the best around. Well priced.

Best BBQ in Sanford. Hidden gem. It’s mainly to go. Don’t let the looks fool you- it’s awesome. And they are so nice. They do catering as well

This is a great find! We drive by this place all the time, and finally decided to check it out, and we’re so glad we did. The owner is so sweet and friendly. We got the 3 meat combo with the ribs, brisket, and pork…. it was amazing! Such a big meat portion. The sides were also delicious especially the collards and baked beans. We will definitely be coming back here again and again.

Mr. Wavey makes the best BBQ in town, and his side dishes (esp the collard Greens) are awesome! Look him up when you are in the mood for some deliciousness!

We were camping nearby and found out about Wavey's by accident. We had the small brisket and small rib combo meals for dinner tonight. The portions were perfect for us and this was undoubtedly some of the best barbecue we've had on our travels. We'll be stopping back by there on the way home so we'll have another Wavey's fix this weekend.

Visited while staying in the area… The owner was very nice but the food was just ok and not very much for your money.. Got the chopped Pork plate with Slaw and Baked beans. The pork was good but just enough to fit in the palm of your hand. The coleslaw was way to much vinegar and mayo mixture was tangy not very good and the baked beans overly sweet kinda tasted like sweet potato soufflé.. very small sides amount you get… really wanted to like and support a local small business but wouldn’t return but looks like he has some great repeated customers..the picture is the plate with a bun added.. nothing touched before photo.. very small portion for $10

Delicious fall of the bone bbq. The meat was nice and tender. The collard greens were seasoned! The owner is also really nice with great service. So happy I found this gem.

I've been getting this barbecue since the days this wonderful chef spent his time on the the side of the road with his grill waving and smiling, and since then it's still the best barbecue I've had yet. He's always delightful and the food leaves nothing wanting.

The best BBQ I've had in orlando to date. The ribs are fall off the bone, impossibly tender. The chicken is perfectly cooked and full of flavor with deliciously seasoned skin. The pulled pork is dripping with juice and just ready to melt in your mouth. Each is prepared by wavey himself infront of you with a flurry of mouthwatering smells as each new dish is brought forth and a flourish of mastered craftsmanship as they are cut. The mac and cheese is meticulously baked so that there is a beautiful light verdigris of the top layer that I run my fork along just to hear the texture. This crisp thin crunch is interwoven by the gooey seasoned cheesy macaroni that still has the firmness to distinguish the textures of the pasta, cheese, and top layer in each bite. This...this is quality. This is Wavey's Barbecue, and just like he told me, unlike anything I've ever had.
