We were very excited to eat here tonight. Since we had never been there we had several questions. The owner acted like he was doing us a favor by even taking our order. I asked about how many shrimp were in the scampi. He said he had no idea and seemed annoyed at our other questions like can we get the grouper blackened. He ended up being so rude we canceled our order and walked down to the pizza place after he told us our order would be $48.00 instead of $28.00 which was the correct amount. The pizza was awesome and they said this guy is always rude. Don’t go there!!!
The food is very tasty and flavorful. The portion size is good and prices are decent. We didn't have too long of a wait even while they were busy. Ill definitely be returning.
He felt good handing me this $17 “salad” with maybe 20 leaves. I understand you have overhead but how much are you saving by now giving a full portion. Make it make it sense.
Consistent, quick, and quality. You can always count on this place to deliver an excellent meal, even in an uncertain hospitality climate. I've been waiting so long for a decent seafood restaurant in Sanford, and it's finally here! Highly recommend the blackened fish sandwich and lobster roll.
Holy Cow…… this place is awesome.I ordered the shrimp scampi for $13.00 and my husband ordered the Hot Peel and Eat Shrimp for $9.00.Both dishes were worth every penny and then some. Definitely returning to here soon.
Owner has a very disgusting attitude, refused to take my order while standing in front of him, never acknowledged that I was there. Shortly after being there for 5 mins a Caucasian woman walked up behind me, he ran over to take her order I’m literally sitting in my car hurt because I love the food here but I will not take that type of disrespect or discrimination!! I will be calling and taking legal action. I myself an also a owner of a small business, i would never treat any of my customers in this manner and I will not allow this owner to do this to anyone else! He must Go!
These guys hustle (often just 1-2 employees working) and produce consistent, top-notch seafood every time! It's hard for me to choose any other vendor at Henry's because I know that The Current will deliver. Favorites include the fried shrimp, shrimp BLT, hushpuppies, mahi salad. We also love the lobster specials! So happy to have a great seafood place in Sanford.
My family and I ate here on Monday 12/27/21… the food was good but that did not make up for the poor attitude of the gentleman serving us at the counter, which appeared to be the owner. He seemed to be so inconvenienced that we were ordering food, frustrated with us asking questions about the menu, and choosing his restaurant over the many other choices that we could have went to instead. His attitude was awful and we will not be back there! Choose any other restaurant at Henry’s Depot unless you want to be served poorly.
It's the best seafood I've had in far too long. The lobster and the blackened fish were absolutely tremendous. They did a great job preparing and cooking the food, and the address was real great.
Salmon wax excellent. Caesar salad good, but a little too much dressing. It was saturated. Still, yummy and recommend and would eat here again for sure.
