Came here for the first time today for a closed event baby shower. Joe the owner DJ'ed, Val & Lily we're absolutely amazing. We live in DT Orlando and haven't really been in the Sanford area for drinking, etc before. The whole event went amazing and these individuals showed us the time of our lives. After everyone in our party left a handful of us stayed to close the bar down. Lily was so much fun, so personable and I love her. While we never come to Sanford ever I would definitely come again. They took so good of all of us. I loved that the owner was DJ ing for the event. You have a party or event definitely use them and it will be amazing. Joe played all the freaking hits we wanted from 90's to 2000. I said play cash money for the 99 taking over and he got us. All around amazing.

We love it at the Sanford Avenue Tavern!! Great food, amazing atmosphere and great drinks. Park in the back and enjoy yourself in the bar. Or sit out back with your friends.
Went last night for Burgers & Beer! Super clean, great selection of beers & liquors, love the ambiance & bartender was very friendly…now, the food….SOOO DELICIOUS! You just can’t beat a good burger

My drink tasted watered down. Also they charged my card $25 when in reality, the drink was $8.50 so I gave them a $10 tip; total came to $18.50. Yet here we are with a $25 charge. And no, they didn't close my tab at the end, I closed it before they even closed. So how and why they charged me $25, beats me. Might want to go somewhere else if you're seeing this.
Bartenders are great service is great.Except when the owner was working he was talking to three of his friends almost walked over to us a few times but again got caught up in the conversation and we went next door to Throwbacks after 10.min of waiting.Still fun place to go.
Nice place, great drink specials.. ill be back.
Not a great environment, small beer selection, service isn't good. Both times I went, I ended up just leaving because noone assisted me.
