great food , great staff , very nice place to go
I thought the place had that old Southern feel and found the food to be pretty good. The service was fine and a little sassy which adds some flair to the experience as well. The only complaint was that the busser smelled so badly, it was quite off putting. Every time he walked by his body odor wafted past and lingered. It, honestly, ruined the entire experience and made me eat quickly and leave. I think there are better ways to turn over tables! I am not usually offended by this sort of thing but this was BAD! Not sure I will return.
I cannot praise this deliciousness enough! I had to tear it apart so I could share how caramelized these onions were! Cooked to perfect sweet, crunchy perfection! These are the best hash browns I have ever had at a restaurant! The whole meal and service were amazing. I’ve been visiting here my whole life but today, today was exceptional!
Very nice. Enjoyed this place every time I go
Always fresh and good, down home cooking you can count on! Located in Historic downtown on 1st street, this place is a piece of Sanford's heritage. It's a bit like walking back in time... Great for breakfast or lunch, prices are very reasonable and service is good. Outside and window seating available. Great breakfast specials and excellent omelets!
Great place to get breakfast any time of day. Service was great, but we did wait along time for our meals and when my steak came it was overcooked. I did not complain I had a train to catch, it was still good, just well done and I like it medium rare. The staff was all very pleasant and they was not an empty table in the place so the wait was justified. I was catching the Auto train and I would definitely go back for breakfast again.

Had the 1/2 special with 2 eggs, bacon & french toast. My sister has the same except she had the half Belgian waffle. Great service, great staff, great atmosphere. Middle school bff's mom Miss Norma worked here. Not better place for my 55th birthday breakfast.
Very poor service. Sub par food. The booth seats are ripped up and are in such bad shape it’s like sitting in a hole. Waitstaff was aggressive and to the point of being rude. I understand there is a shortage of employees right now but when a business hires rude people who throw your plates on the table hard enough that your food falls off and goes everywhere then gets nasty with you because you don’t want to eat the food laying on the table there is a problem! I’m not eating food that’s been spilled all over a hurriedly wiped down dirty table. Will not go back to this dump!
Great service, nice breakfast options and located in the heart of Sanford.
