Had a very pleasant dinner at Village Inn this evening. Our server, Sadie, was the only server tonight, but her manager, Eric, was helping out as well and the two of them easily kept things moving nicely. Eric even went around and chatted with diners and made it feel like a nice old-school diner experience. Now, for the food, it was excellent! My wife and I usually go to this VI for breakfast food (which is always great), but we decided to be different and try dinner items. Our entrees were amazing! The Chicken Ranch sandwich I had was perfectly cooked with plenty of fries, and my wife had a classic cheese burger which she was pleasantly surprised was actually cooked “medium” as she ordered. We concluded our dinner with pie and I have to say, wow. Again, we both tried new pies and they were both heavenly. (A nice final note is that our toddler daughter’s meal was free-which is a current promotion.) A lovely evening!
Sabah gave excellent, attentive service to our party of 9 with 3 teens and 4 younger children just after the typical lunch rush hour. Despite being short staffed and their soda machine being down, we were still able to have a great experience with yummy food, as always.
Great food, awesome server in Kayla… she made it all fun to dine in this family friendly eatery. Very pleased with everything and I will be back to try dinner experience.
Food was excellent. Service seemed pretty much non caring. Was attended to right away. As the host was directing me to my seat the waitress saw us and said I'm too busy. So, we went to another section. Got seated. Waited, waited, another waitress came over with menus and took my coffee order. Then broght tge coffee and took my order. She was very nice. Waited, waited. Ok takes time to cook. Meanwhile must have been shift change. Many people saying goodbye, some wondering why certain people didn't say goodbye to them. Not really conducive to a great restaurant experience for the customer. Waited, waited. Food came and delivered cheerfully. That was the last I saw of the waitress until she flew by and put the bill on the table. I finished up and put my card on the bill. Waited, waited. Never saw the waitress. Finally I got up and walked to the cashier station which was empty. Waited, waited. Someone walked by and said are you being helped? I said no. I checked out. Left. Period. You guys need retraining. The cook? Aces!!
I normally dine in and love the experience. The other day I ordered from uber eats. I ordered toast for my side with the main breakfast dish. The toast wasn't even toasted... and they gave me the end piece of the loaf..?? Also, didn't receive my other half of order. I brought back the two pieces of bread and showed the manager. I had to come back, because he wasn't there the first time. "Out to the store" at the busiest time of the morning. He tried to give me a free pie with my next purchase. I ended up getting an avocado melt sandwich. He made it right, but come on... your cook didn't even toast the damn bread to make it toast. Also, in the future...throw in a little butter with that toast for a to-go orders.. step it up
Lets start with greasy food, old menu options, milk in oatmeal. Excessive sides and NO VEGAN options. It's better to go to Wendys across the street. Coffee was made with tap water. loud music and very cold inside. its seemed as the waitress had beef with the other younger waitress. I saw the younger waitress being very rude to the red headed waitress. not good energy.
Waited like everyone else for a table. Then in walks a PARTY OF 10, THAT WAS SEATED BEFORE US!! WTH??? Our server said a little while for the food. We waited for almost 30 minutes before I called her over for an update. She said that the kitchen was backed up due to a large party.. NO KIDDING!!! THEY SAT AND ORDERED BECAUSE THEY WERE PUT AHEAD OF US!!! RIDICULOUS B.S.!!! NO MANAGEMENT!!!! Seriously need to address this. "I'm sorry" only goes so far...
Went there for breakfast this morning and ordered the classic egg benedict thinking it’s good.Once I got it the hollandaise sauce was sour and disgusting I ended up not even eating it. It looked like they just threw some sauce on top of it and served it.They potatoes that came with it were cold.At the end I told the waitress that it wasn’t good, but she just said ok I will let them know.Ended up paying for the food that I didn’t even eat and I would never come back to this location. The waitress never came to check on us or ask if everything was ok she came when she brought us the bill and didn’t do anything about the nasty food they made. On top of this the staff preparing the food in the back was coughing and walking in and out of the back entrance. Super unprofessional!Weird for a place that wasn’t even busy to have such bad customer service. They really did not care.
If you don't want to be on Uber Eats then take it off the website! I can't count how many times I've tried to order from here, wait for food and the next thing you know they cancel the order for no reason! I could've eaten already by now from somewhere else but I chose you. What a mistake.
