We called ahead our order at 3:00 pm for a 5:30 pickup. I was VERY clear that I would be picking up my kids and needed it at 5:30 since I was HOSTING a dinner and had guests arriving at 6:00, I am sitting here in the parking lot at 6:00 and my husband was told it is still NOT ready and calling ahead doesn’t actually matter! They have put together 3 walk in orders ahead of us as he waits. This is the most horrific customer service. We had another issue here about a month ago and opted to give this a try, I don’t know if it’s the lack of caring or poor management.
Don't get me wrong but I love the food but me,my mom, and my sister went there for dinner and we sat outside and ate bc it was busy and we ordered so when our food came we sat and ate and when we needed drinks so the worker came outside and got everyone else drinks and stuff but skipped our table and didn't even asked or anything and when my mom said excuse me they ignored us even when she said it louder but when other people did it they came and also other workers too.????????. So 2 ⭐ for the workers and 5 ⭐ for the food.
Used to be a great joint. The past 5 times the service, portion size, and food quality steadily declines. Call in supposed to be ready at 9:23, wait until 9:53 for food to be ready. Got home and missing items. Keep giving another try, hoping to be like I remember it over the years, but instead it continues to decline.
Service was ok, food was cold, chips were old and refried.....so hard you couldn't even chew them unless you want to break your teeth. Was completely dead at lunch rush.....should have known to go elsewhere but Google showed 4.4 stars and this location used to be really good, now I would say it is the worst Tia Juana Flats in the Tampa Bay area
I like Tijuana Flats it's always been a go-to for the family. They have fast service. The food is consistently the same. Their prices have gone up quite a bit so you want to make sure you go on Taco Tuesday
Great food at good prices, love the mega chimichangas! Excellent hot sauces, it only hurts for a little while! Taco Tuesday great day for TACOS, one of their specials days. Food hasn't disappointed. I absolutely love this place. I've been going for a few years, good Mexican food with an amazing twist. Also they have a great selection of sauces!
Place wasn't busy. Still made my to go order to eat in. Tried to quickly bag it yo go. Most of it missed th bag. Last time my order sat to go for a half hour. Girl insisted it wasnt ready. Felt deliberate. Probably my last visit. Chillies across the street!
Ok. Google officially FAILED me on this one. How this place had 4 stars was beyond me. This was the WORST Mexican food I think I have ever had. It was completely Americanized and bland. If this was served as a school lunch there would be a revolt. Do. Not. Eat. Here.EDIT: I’ve never really had bad Mexican food at a restaurant before. The typical critique is that the portions were too small. But this place was genuinely bad. I worked at a prison for 10 years. The food quality was equivalent to prison food.My guess is that they pack this food with MSG. My family all complained of having dry mouths later that night/ the next morning which is a common indicator of food laced MSG. This HAS to be the reason why so my people “like” this food. Either that or Tijuana Flats must offer discounts to their customers for good reviews. Something doesn’t add up.
T-Flats is usually reliable, and this location is no exception. My Chipotle chicken chimichanga was great, they had my favorite hot sauce (Rasta sauce, not sugary!), and the service was attentive.
