Shhhhhhh! Please don’t tell anyone about this restaurant. It’s usually not very crowded. They do not take reservations. The menu is airport themed. The food has always been very good. I’ve been there 5 times in the last 6 weeks. The outdoor seating is where I love to sit. The little planes come and go right below where you sit. It’s loud when they come and go. You can enter the tail numbers and look up the flight plan of each plane. If the number starts with an N, the plane is from the USA. A letter C in the front designates them being from Canada. However a D is used for planes from Germany. They offer biplane rides from that airport so we have seen the biplanes takeoff and land a few times. You can also see helicopters. One night they had a 5 piece jazz band indoors. They were very talented. We even bought red tshirts from there- great graphics! Great servers always and great staff all around every time. Enjoy, but don’t tell too many people! Lol!
Nothing fancy about the menu – good old diner fare. Large hamburger, extra crispy fries and a coke make a great lunch while watch the airplanes take off & land. It’s nice to have a lunch option that doesn’t feauture Gluten Free or non-GMO (although they may have that) but delivers comfort food at a fair price.
What a wonderful field trip off the beach, our home, to eat and watch the planes along with someone training to pilot.I WILL say that the outside seating wasn’t available because it’s off season and the time to work on things, resurfacing the patio, is completely understandable but plenty of airplane watching inside too. Walk around St. Petersburg and fill your tank at The Hanger. You won’t be disappointed.Anyway, the food is absolutely delicious! I had the hummus veggie wrap, oh so tasty with so much flavor, and my better half had the cheesesteak. Both dishes were delicious! And don’t pass on the homemade chips. They are homemade ruffles to die for. Great bar and tender, very friendly and dedicated servers. Great place to enjoy food and drink with the addition of planes taking off and landing. Thank y’all!
We did last Saturday our daughter’s 5th bday at their banquet room. All the staff were so friendly. Stephanie was our server that day she was so nice that everytime she went to our room she will take time to play with my kids. The managers Matt and Michelle were so nice also that they answered all my questions and accommodate all my requests. Foods were delicious too. I highly recomment their banquet room for any event . A lot of space, you can decorate and not so pricy also. Thank you for making my daughter’s birthday an unforgettable one!
We are looking for a restaurant to celebrate my nephew graduating high-school and on the hangar website it says they take reservations so I called them and they were extremely rude telling they don't have reservations and when I asked to speak with the manager she answers the phone by rudely telling me they don't take reservations not even a hello, nothing. After being treat that way I will never go there and do t recommend anyone to either.

Nachos, but using potato chips instead of tortillas, plus no nacho cheese. Different but very good. I was not pleased with my dinning experience and will not return.
The food is good and the views of the airport are interesting. Well located near the Dali Museum this is a good place for breakfast or lunch. We were a large group but everyone got what they ordered and all was enjoyed. We appreciated their willingness to do separate checks cheerfully and accurately.
Breafast was great and loved the location. We liked it enough to go again but was closed due to an event.
