I’d be totally okay with paying $7 for good sourdough but it was hard as a rock and I seriously thought I was going to break a tooth. I got a loaf of sourdough from Meszaros that was half the price and twice the size and it was great. I definitely won’t be coming back here unless I’m trying to lose a tooth.
I can't say enough how happy I found this bakery shop. It makes me miss Italy so much. It's not a fancy decorated shop as I can see it seems to be just newly started local business. However, I must say the bread the owner makes is top notch, from the heart and soul. It's very rarely for me to find any store that has such an authentic touch on the food.So I do hope that everyone gives it a try at this bakery, supporting local business. The bread I got are, Chocolate Croissant, Spinach Cheese Croissant, and Salami Croissant. I was so lucky as when I first got there, the bread just came out freshly from the oven!Highly recommend. Will return!!
Fresh bread & delicious treats! They also have gluten free options. The owner has a lot of experience with baking and it shows. Thank you for the time & fresh ingredients you put into your bakery.
The Italian baguettes took me back to Sardinia.La Signora that took my order /checkout was kind and informative. Nice gem of Italia in St.Pete. This is real bread, not that forgery they pass off as bread in the everyday chain stores.
Excellent Whole Wheat Sourdough Bread. I believe it is made from a Natural starter, so the bread doesn’t even need yeast to make it rise. Definitely, one of the best breads In Florida in my opinion.
Yummy eveeything!
I went here on a Saturday morning and it was empty except for the woman working there. I asked her when the chocolate croissants ($3.50 each) were made, and she thought about it for a second and said “oh, about 15 minutes ago”. The color was immediately off-putting, but I gave the pastry the benefit of the doubt. Oh my, what a mistake that was. I took two bites and immediately threw it in the trash, washed my mouth out and brushed my teeth. Worst thing I’ve tasted in many, many years. Was it actually made 15 minutes prior? I have no way of knowing for sure, but it tasted like it was made a month ago. The bottom was soaked in butter, while also being hard as a rock. The “fluffy” top part was entirely bland and stale. There was barely any chocolate, and it wasn’t possible to taste it. Seriously, it tasted like it had been sitting on the display shelf for a month. I am part-French so I have eaten hundreds of chocolate croissants throughout my lifetime from numerous bakeries and pastry shops, many of them in France, and this was the worst by a light-year. If you want a good pastry, cross the street and go to Cafe Mozart. But the bread artisans bakery is a place I’ll be returning to never, ever again.
Sourdough bread was hard as a rock. Total waste of money.
Great pastries, specially the croissants. It’s all home made. I still have to try the bread! Nice owner.
Very disappointed! I got a few cookies and they were gross. Extremely dry and hard. My fiancé had one and had the same reaction.I did not try their bread but based upon their cookies I would not be back.
