In town on vacation... highly, highly recommend!! Food was excellent, service was excellent and the price was excellent! We ended up eating breakfast two days in a row! I will always eat here when visiting!!

Been a loyal customer for over 20 years, however, the quality of food has declined severely while the price has risen tremendously. I don’t mind paying for good food but it’s just not good anymore. Was in today with my son and ordered 2 Ruben sandwiches, the meat was dry and hard, the onions were burnt to the point of being black, the bread fell apart and the fries (that are an extra up charge) we’re under cooked and cold. Sad to say we will not be back as there are tastier options in St Pete.

We have been here multiple times, but this morning was the worst and the last time. 1. They have French vanilla creamers for coffee but the ones brought to me had a little extra something with them on the containers that looked like someone else’s pancakes. 2. I asked for bacon that wasn’t crispy and was brought raw bacon in a pile of grease. 3. My husband’s meat omelette had what tasted like old and greasy leftover meat. 4. Waitress took 2 other table’s order after us and got their food before us. We waited almost 10 minutes after the other tables got food before ours came out. I could understand if we had ordered something that takes awhile to cook but how long does it take to cook raw bacon and a leftover meat omelette? 5. My hash browns were old and really greasy. 6. The toast wasn’t even toasted. Plus it was doused in butter. The only good part of the breakfast was my husband’s hash browns.

We stumbled across this place and we had a great experience. We sat outside at a shaded table on a beautiful day. The food was delicious and the portions were large. The staff were great. The owner's husband was dining at the table next to us. We he heard that we didn't know what grits were (we're from Canada), he ordered a bowl for us on him. It truly was a lovely experience dining in a place with more locals than tourists!

Clean place, comfortable dining room. Had bacon & eggs which were fine. The "home fries" were simply boiled potatoes that were then stirred around in a skillet - bor-ring. Good coffee, fair service. A little pricey, in my opinion but I do give them credit for disclosing the 4% fee that is added if one pays by card. I would go back if I were hungry & in the neighborhood but I wouldn't make a special trip.

Second visit to Kay's in the past year. First visit wasn't great, but as Copper Kettle down the street was closed last Sunday for some reason we decided to give it a second chance. Bad decision. Service was slow, but understandable in today's time. Not acceptable is bacon only half cooked, gravy ice cold on our biscuits and room temperature potatoes, eggs and french toast and no utensils. Shame on your cook, shame on the server and shame on management for not paying attention.

We have lived near this casual breakfast and lunch restaurant for a couple of years now. We attempted to go once for brunch on a weekend and the line was too long so we moved on to somewhere else that day. Well today before a day of errands and shopping we decided to try it out. We stopped in for a quick lunch. My turkey club was the BEST in the area! Bread perfectly toasted, the right amount of mayo and the layers carefully piled. A look at my photos and you can see how well it was put together! My husband had a simple grilled cheese with fries and her loved it. The fries were a perfect golden color and nice and crispy. The prices were very reasonable! We will definitely go back and can't wait to try their breakfast.

There was one table open when we got there. It took awhile to get service. First to get our drink order in. Then we are told the kitchen is backed up. So she's going to wait before taking our breakfast order. She eventually comes back to get our order and we place it. When the food was served along with the check at the same time, it was already cold. Server never stopped to check on us. Not someplace I'd want to go to again.

The $5 one egg junior breakfast today. Hmmm ... not sure if that is one egg? I gave 3 stars because the coffee and service were good. So is this typical for breakfast places at around $5 here in St. Pete or are there better places? If I was a restaurant owner I would just take this off the menu because it's too embarrassing to serve this. Or at least add some cheap fruit to fill up the plate to make it look more appetizing.
