I love pizza and I was so excited to try something new. I wanted to love or at least like this pizza but I hated it. Even my kids wouldn’t eat the BBQ pizza which they love from everywhere. It was kind of like a bad frozen pizza. Maybe we got it on a bad day, but ours ended up in the trash.
First time here tonight. Got the margarita pizza which I always do when trying out a new pizza place. This is generally a good test. It was absolutely perfect. Made in the traditional style with fresh mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes, fresh basil and olive oil drizzled over the top. It was cooked perfectly in a brick oven. The crust had a really nice flavor too. I’ll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. Hats off to the guys in the back of the house, great job!!
Ordered a calzone. I've eaten many. I've made many in a commercial kitchen. Maybe it was just bad timing I will order one again and if it's better I will raise my review. Just wasn't impressed
This is by far the best pizza I have ever had and I have traveled all over the country. I don't see that these folks have any competition at all! Even my 11 year old granddaughter said she liked it and she doesn't like anything! Go Flippers! Sadly, I'm leaving St. Pete. I'll be ordering via shipment soon. Thank you! I used takeout so the rest of the review about the restaurant doesn't apply to me.
Solid spot! My number 3 spot in St Pete for pizza. Classic American slice, good toppings and quick to make them. Occasionally they don't bake it enough and I have to crisp it up at home but good crust and sauce.
I have to say that the pizza was good the sauce was alittle too acidic but was very bright so it wasn't over cooked. The sandwich was really good on the fresh pizza dough bread that they make.
We popped in on Super Bowl Sunday to have dinner & watch the game. We must be lucky as they were busy, but all takeout orders.The place was not crowded as sports fans were elsewhere, so it was our luck. Our server Paige was busy but she checked on us regularly so we were well taken care of…The breadsticks came out, piping hot and very delicious. Can’t beat freshly baked pizza dough bread ? sticks! We also ordered bone-in wings with honey bbq, they were super tasty & we loved them as an appetizer! Our main entrees included the cheese pizza and the Flipper’s Special Pizza, that was super tasty and clearly super fresh ingredients.We are new to the neighborhood and we will be back, many times. Bravo Flipper’s Pizza!!!
Whether I've dined in or ordered take out, I've not been disappointed by this Flippers. Everything is always just as I ordered and tastes great.I called in an order earlier tonight and the staff were super helpful and friendly.
The pizza is excellent..but the asiago pepperoni rolls are OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! This was my first order from here, but I will absolutely order again when I am back in town.
I ordered the California pizza that was recommended to me by Page and it was SO good!First of all, I called and asked if they had cauliflower crust and they did- THANK YOU- and I asked Page for her recommendation. She was so enthusiastic to help me decide that I got excited. The hospitality on top of delicious pizza is really what puts this place at 5 stars!!Going back next week to try the Blanca! ?
