I hate giving bad reviews, but there are so many excellent restaurants in St. Pete and this one was just lacking. The food was just bland. As if they just didn't want to add any type of seasoning. The service wasn't to bad, just a bit slow. I personally would leave this location for the locals and their morning coffee to talk over. The home Fry's where good though.
Food was delicious, service was great! I had the biscuit and gravy, egg, and potatoes special. My only complaint is it cost me $4.65 to add 4 pieces of bacon to my meal. I only wanted 2, but 4 was my only option. I'd still go again, I would just skip the bacon lol.
Doe Doe’s used to be my favorite place to eat. It has gone downhill. We were sat at a table right next to the service counter. The waitress set our placemats down on a dirty table, picked them back up, wiped the table with the nastiest rag and put the same placemats down. The service counter for drinks had the nasty rags sitting on top of the counter and dirty dishes underneath. I can’t imagine that the health inspectors would approve of any of this. On top of this, someone had their dog in the restaurant that was not a service dog. The sad part of this is that the food is really good but I would hate to see the preparation. Won’t be back! ?
We came here on Easter morning after the first place we tried was closed. Glad we did. The service is something you don’t find these days. Everyone was so friendly. It is a small place and serves breakfast only and they still do things old school, with paper tickets. But it works and I’m glad we found this place. Excellent!
This little Mom and Pop diner is like walking back into the 60s or 70s. Now that's a good thing. Breakfast was awesome with oversized portions. Prices have gone up a couple dollars but then again what hasn't lately. Still a great bang for your buck.Believe me after breakfast or brunch you'll want to nap afterwards ?.
First time here and we will definitely be back. Great service, food was all awesome, and very reasonably priced. Our Server Sarah was Very friendly and constantly making sure everything was great for us. I only wish we could of given them 6 stars.
Its okay. Locals seem to love it. It was packed from front to back. The cooks looked liked they could of used at least 2 more stoves/grills in there. They were busy. I ordered pancakes , it took awhile to get them and they were cold. I say it was because they were busy.
From the moment we walked in, we knew we found our go-to breakfast spot! We recently bought a place close by and was exploring the neighborhood and wifey saw this on line and all the great reviews. The staff was WICKED AWESOME! And super nice and made us feel like we've been customers for decades! I got the C.F. Steak with a couple of eggs and I gotta say, it was hot, it was crunchy, the gravy was rich and creamy and my SS up egg was perfect! May not sound like a big deal but we've been to too many spots where a SS up egg must be foreign cause I rarely get it the way it should be. Wifey got the B&G cause it was like 40 degrees outside and she also thought, although she is not from MA like me, that the whole experience and quality of the food and staff was WICKED AWESOME! Can't wait to visit again in a couple of weeks when we get back into town.
Was in the pool at my BNB. Heard two people talking about this place. So the next morning we woke up and went there. I felt like I regular at the place. Food was fantastic. We liked the home fries better than the hash browns just an FYI. Had to order both to taste both. Coffee was good omelette was awesome. Good grits second favorite out of the five days I ate breakfast out. Since we don’t get them in the North we order everyday for breakfast while we were away. Go try it out. You will love it. And the people just truly good eggs (LOL). Just made us feel like a regular can’t say anything better than that.
We have been staying in this part of Saint Petersburg for the past four years and had no idea that this gem was here. Looking for someplace for breakfast that was open at 6 AM this hit the mark. Absolutely wonderful food wonderful waitresses. This is a place if you want a good breakfast you must come to.
