Stopped by here after volunteering at an animal shelter in the area … the margarita was great… the guacamole had brown spots in it .. the carne asada taco was greasy but the meat was still dry. Atleast cilantros was fresh. It was 1pm in the middleOf the week and I was the only person there. The staff seemed underwhelmed about me being there…as if I was an inconvenience …here’s a thought , maybe turn off the “open” sign next time and nobody will come in.

I do not recommend this restaurant. My burrito was a sloppy mess. Did not taste good at all. Guacamole was very salty but tasted fresh. Tacos were average. Will not be returning.

We tried Cheka’s for the very first time tonight and I am beyond disappointed. We got it to go and my husband and I both ordered chimichangas. Mine was the shredded beef chimi, there were four pieces of BONE in my food. Four chunks that I easily could have broken a tooth on or cut my throat up if swallowed. I couldn’t eat it after I pulled the fourth piece of bone out. The rice was super dry and the refried beans where liquid. So odd. We also ordered the queso and I don’t know what they put in it was it was a solid chunk of cheese with grease on top. Also not edible. I am not happy and will be going in tomorrow to ask for a refund!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IT IS EXPENSIVE AND POOR QUALITY. the melted cheese was hard I didn't return it because I live far away, I put it in the trash I won't come back.

They put olives in everything which is weird for one. The enchiladas verdes and pollo gorditas were okay, although the empanadas were sprinkled with oregano seasoning?? Not very authentic mexican food, its really good for late nights when theres nothing else open

I bought tacos tonight only to realize they are now $3.50 a taco and their meat quality is worse now than a year ago. My order going from $20 to $30 now makes it hard for me to justify it. Not to mention they never informed us their prices had changed (we ordered over the phone). Plus their onions are rarely - if ever - fully caramelized like they used to be at the food truck.

Iced tea tasted like it had chemicals in it. Chips and taco bowl were cold and nearly stale. Beans and rice were cold. Guacamole was the preprocessed kind! Yuck! No flour tortillas were served with fajitas, but cold, store-bought corn tortillas instead. A disappointment from start to finish. We could not wait to get the bill and run out of this place!!

Great food at a great price! The food here is amazing. There's a number of Mexican restaurants near here, and this place slaps the socks off of them. This is now a weekly spot for my family.

By far the worst Mexican restaurant I've ever been too. I should've noticed because nobody was eating here on a taco Tuesday the restaurant was completely empty at 7:00 PM. The food was old and un edible, tasted like the food was re heated in a microwave. The salsa was watered down. I give this place 2 months then it will close.

We went to Chela's for lunch recently because we had heard how delicious the food was. First I want to commend our server, who was delightful and attentive. However, either we caught them on a bad day, or like everything else in life, taste is subjective. Whenever I try a new Mexican restaurant, I start with the Chile Relleno. This was probably the worst Chile Relleno I've ever had. My spouse tried a wet al pastor burrito. Both of us felt that the sauce, which seemed to be the same on both dishes, was off. It just didn't taste right. My dish was accompanied by a large quantity of yellow rice, which was good, and beans, which were cold and tasteless. The prices seem high for the quality of the food - $26 (before tax & tip) and we only had water to drink. I will say that the chips and salsa were the best part of the meal.
