The rice is bland. Egg foo young is not how it should look and smells like fish. Chicken wings are bland no seasoning at all on them. The egg rolls were not so great. Chicken was stringy. It took a long time to make. They didn’t seem like they wanted to work and be open. Never going back. Am a big fan of china star on Highway 301.
Their food has far too much sodium in it, gave me a massive migraine. Made my dad sick w/ food poisoning. The owner doesnt look up from his phone when taking orders. Don't eat here.
Ordered Mongolian Beef, beef was tender but too much sauce. Asked to substitute rice for veggies, they said they couldn’t so I ordered a side steamed veggies, which were poor quality you can tell if broccoli has white branches underneath and carrots are brown, then they asked if I wanted my rice, no I wanted to substitute it for veggies but instead they charged me and kept the rice. Horrible. $43.00 wasted.
Best flavored Chinese in the Bloomingdale area. Every time I order food here and have delivered via Doordash, food arrives hot and fresh.

My first time here and food was very good hot fresh great flavor!! Price is pretty much what take out Chinese food normally is which is a great value because they give you lots and plenty of meat definitely recommend
I've ordered from Shang Hai about half a dozen times, and every time it's been excellent! I get the bourbon chicken combo, and I'm very pleased with the quality of the chicken (no nasty bits) and overall freshness of the food. The combos are packed heavy on the meat and easy on the rice and veggies, unlike other places I've tried. I easily get three meals out of one combo. Great value and delicious!
