I think this restaurant is fabulous! The food is amazingly good. I've been about 8 times and have never had a disappointing meal. The staff is very nice too. Highly recommend!

Fantastic customer service and awesome food. My family‘s new go-to.

Went to Akira around 11:30am when they open. I was greeted by a very nice hostess/server who brought us to our table. The server was very courteous and did a great job answering any questions I had. I ordered a chicken katsu bento box and gyoza. First we were given miso soup which had tons of flavor and was a perfect portion. Next the gyoza came out and they were they were definitely fresh and filled with flavor. Our bento boxes finally arrived and we were impressed by the presentation as we have had bento boxes from other places before and this fit right in. The chicken katsu was some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. The sauce for the chicken was the perfect amount of bitter/sweet which hit the spot. I substituted my California roll for a sweet potato roll which they had no issues doing and all I can say is wow. I’ve never tasted a sweet potato roll like the one I had here. The flavor was amazing and the sweet potato was crispy. Overall it was a great experience and I’d recommend anyone that hasn’t tried a bento box stop by akira and give it a try! We definitely will be back.

Ordered Hibachi and my veggies were not grilled at all, they were frozen cold, so i told the waitress about the veggies and she told me to scoop them out SO she put the back on the grill or microwave to warm them up, that's UNSANITARY, I didn't eat my dinner because if they didn't bring fresh new veggies imagine how unfresh the rest of the food is.

Thinking about giving Akira a try? Don’t waste your time or money. Any alternative option you can come up with will be better opt for a frozen meal instead. Food was horrible I ordered the teriyaki chicken and the chicken was rubbery and tuff tasted like it was cooked in the microwave. Worst food in the Fishhawk area. AVOID!

Huge portions! Food was tasty. They weren't doing Hibachi in the dining room when we went, but it was still a good experience. Wait staff was very friendly. Definitely coming back to try the massive selection of sushi we saw being made fresh.

Food was just okay, but incredibly overpriced for what you get. Waitress was rude, and as we left, I saw she was eating, which is why she was so short with me. They should have designated lunch breaks for the staff so they dont have to juggle like that.

An ok place to eat with the family. Server was okk a lil fast/rush for us when she was trying to get our order up..Food was not bad, overall it was an OK restaurant.

We eat as a first and last time in this restaurant, the place look good but we entered and It was empty. Then I only saw one person doing everything. This two things smell bad and I didn't take the enough attention. It was the worst food that I eat in my live. The salmon for the rolls was not fresh, and I ordered a dish with chicken that originally I thought that the order was confused because taste as a fish. After try to eat it I understand that that happened. It was wrong cook or I think, They/He let a chicken unfreeze and freeze again and unfreeze and serve to me. Everybody knows that the pandemic hurt a lot the restaurant business, we tried to support coming back. But if you as owner don't do the same thing to keep your customers then nobody is try to support you.
