Stopped in on a whim, and so glad we did! Had the fried goat cheese and 6 Sweet Chili wings...so good! Hubby had the pizza slice and half a panini lunch special...also delightful. Our server, Zach, was wonderful. Personable, patient, pleasant, and prompt. He deserves a raise. We will definitely be back!
Great food and great service. Tina was awesome and very friendly. The menu offered something for everyone. We ate dinner there twice during our visit. Great setting. Not what we expected at all based on the decor and location but what an awesome surprise.
I ordered the formaggio pizza with pepperoni and chicken parm panini and it was delicious and fast to pick up. This is my new favorite pizza place!
I have eaten at the one in Port Charlotte but for some reason the pizza here is better. I have now had a regular cheese slice a regular Grandma slice I had a Grandma's Roman and I had a Roman margarita. The pizza tasted amazing the slices were huge and very filling. The two Roman slices I purchased were literally the same size as a whole $22 Pizza from Wildwood which was 1/10 of quality of this. The inside was really pretty and the staff was friendly they have a slice counter or regular seating inside. This is probably one of the best places in punta Gorda to eat pizza hands down.
This was our first time eating here and we were very impressed. When we first walked in, we noticed the beautiful Café lights on the ceiling and that added to the ambience of the restaurant. The decor was very trendy. We started out with complementary bread sticks. The marinara sauce that was served with the bread sticks was wonderful! We ordered the large chicken bacon ranch pizza and it was absolutely delicious. There was plenty left over to take home. Definitely a place you must try! You will not be disappointed. Can’t wait to come back and try an entrée like spaghetti or lasagna. It all looked fantastic!
First impression...bummed out. The pictures on Google (for this location) showed outdoor seating. Well, there is non. HOWEVER, the service from the host stand to the bar and then to the table were second to none. We had to wait a little extra time for the rest of our party ro arrive, but they never made us feel uncomfortable for it.Now for the food...the bruschetta? GET IT! From the fresh mozz and fresh bread to the heaping toppings, it was bar none the BEST I have had. The pictures are of my wife's sandwich and my antipasto. Couldn't even finish (although we wanted to) because the portions were so big. Someone needs to get Guys Diners Drivins and Dives down here NOW!
Best Pizza in Charlotte Harbor.
We were looking for a place to stop on the way back from Orlando and found Pioneers with all their excellent ratings on a Monday night.They did not disappoint!The eggplant parmigian was spectacular and the marinara just wow! We also had a slice of pizza which was excellent as well.Reasonably priced wine to go with the meal.I can't wait to go back the food was amazing and the staff very nice and accommodating.
WHAT THE ....?! ? this is crazy! Used to go to port Charlotte Pioneer all of the time when I came each winter. LOVED the pizza, and I’m pretty choosy about my pizza. Was very happy when they came to Punta Gorda. So friends were here from Ohio and they wanted a good pizza. So I recommended pioneer pizza as I recalled how great it was in Port Charlotte. We ordered three personal pizzas and only One of us ate their pizza. The guy indicated that he ate it only because he was so hungry, having just gotten off the plane from Fort Myers. He wasn’t a fan. The other two of us ate only one piece each and ditched the rest. Worst pizza…ranked right there with dominos. Will never be back!
Good pizza, good dinners, but the staff is failing on one point. I've been there several times and I watch repeatedly as the tables are cleaned by the help and then they wipe off the seats with the same cloth and move on to the next table to wipe off. Use two cloths...one for the tables, one for the seats. It's not that difficult to do. Please address this issue. M.
