When I’m in Port Charlotte I like coming to this place. Today we came to have breakfast and coffee but the cook was not there. So I went and got some bagels from a nearby shop and the owner did not let us eat it there though we bought coffee and suites from Mercer café. He asked my mom to sit outside at the table and not inside in the AC. This is not proper customer service.
The quadruple cappuccino is da woke bomb! Hearty Muffins freshly made at the cafe and a personable fun guy Joel as your brewmaster and server makes for a homey welcoming place. I also had a toasted unholey pumpernickel buttered bagel served with a slice of orange which made me smile. This is my go to place when I am in town for a nice warm real mug of good coffee.
Love the atmosphere here. Cozy, comfortable, relaxing, inviting and Super Great coffee!
Mercers is a super chill cozy place where the locals hang out. Delicious muffins as well. Very friendly kind owners.
It's my favorite coffee place around! Joel the barista is definitely good at making craft coffee drinks! ? Oh, and bakery items are fantastic too!!
Absolutely quaint, friendly and welcoming hometown coffee shop. But, not only does it have a great coffee shop feel but they import and toast specialty, unique coffee beans onsite - and Wayne makes the best blends! It’s all about quality! Forget Starbucks! One stop at Mercer’s and I guarantee you’ll be back for more!
beautiful interior space lounge area. the barista was personable and excited about taking our order. absolute delight being there. the owner came out and sat with us to chat before we took our harley's out for the day. great guy! great staff! great atmosphere! 10 out of 10 would recommend
Arrived at 2:55pm on Friday, Nov. 19th and the doors were locked. The signs on both doors say that they are open until 3:30pm M-Sat. Leaving for NY in the morning to visit a friend who is into coffee and was hoping to pick up some beans. Must be short on help I guess.

Decided to change their hours on a whim. I planned my day around their schedule. Good thing other coffee shops exist.
