They have some excellent cheese bread. Beyond that, I've given the place 3 tries, all at different times. Each time the wait for my meals were excessive-quoted 20 minutes- actual times were 33, 42, and 37 respectively. Perhaps they are short-staffed like most restaurants everywhere. Especially considering I only ever order plain cheese or pepperoni pizzas, that's a long time to wait for 2 large Pizzas, cheesy bread and a drink- came to over 40$.Go in and try it for yourself and you will understand the 2 star rating. Dark, dirty, slow, overpriced and trying to reach the place or find parking is no easy task.I hate leaving reviews that aren't positive because the staff is pleasant but for that kind of money there are several brick oven pizza joints in Punta Gorda that put this place to shame. If forced to choose between a frozen pizza and HH, I'd choose the frozen option.
A few years ago, a friend told me to try this pizza shop. We are not fond on the pizza shops that are advertised on television. If you like a verry generous amount of cheese and a good tasting tomato souse, you may want to try Hungry Howie's. They also offer salads and sub sandwiches. The subs are served in pizza crust. You have the option of having it delivered or you can pick it up at the store.
Great pizza. I bring the kids and eat inside.very clean and the staff are so nice
This location is always very quick at making my food and I've never had an order gone wrong. Nice little location and for the price you can't beat the quality of the pizza.
Absolutely delicious pizza. Love the Taco Pizza. Not a fancy dine in experience, but a good place for a quick and delicious meal.
They have constantly messed up our order back to back. Then when they got it correct it was hair in the food. Asked for a refund and the manager was a completely disregarding our problem. Don’t order from them..

My only hope is that once you inundate them with orders, Howie doesn't charge me more on my next Vaca. I walked in just to take a peek & walked put with coupons & offers! This Hungry Howies location is the best in my book. The staff is always friendly and efficient. Food come out great and correct. And if it's not correct they have no problem remaking it they are very understanding and do not give attitudes. I would highly recommend this location for your next pizza fix, delivery or take out they always give you the best service and delicious food.
