We spent a wonderful evening at Hemingway’s Grille! The food was amazing, compliments to the chef! Everyone at our table had only delicious remarks to make about their dishes. A must visit restaurant and every occasion … right in your backyard Punta Gorda ❤️

Wonderful meal, service & a really neat place to enjoy a Saturday evening dinner. Jade was the best server! She was very tentative, professional & has a great personality.The short ribs, shrimp, mashed potatoes & asparagus were awesome as was the salad. The bread was a great way to start our dinner.We'll definitely be back. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.
We had the best surprise of our lives dining here this evening. The bar is first class and cozy. Our bartender, Jen was the consummate professional and friendly on top of it. A rare combination indeed. Our meals were cooked to perfection and the ambiance could not have been better. We felt we were in world class restaurant in little Punta Gorda ...and guess what ...we were!
An unexpected pleasure. This restaurant goes above and beyond to prepare menu and food that are not what one would expect in a small town in SW Florida.Fresh, delicious bread from a bakery in California. Well made, thoughtful house cocktails. An interesting and varied menu that emphasizes quality over quantity. Very good, friendly and efficient service.This was an unexpected and delicious find.
When for Mothers Day, seated promptly, waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing, the fusion of favors was prefect. We meet the chef,what a nice man, with an obvious passion for his food. Will definitely be going back.
Transitioning from The Blue Turtle initially had some bumps but today Hemmingways represents fine dinning. I was happy to see bread brought back to the table. I ordered Salmon and Shrimp that was delicious. I"m fussy about who, what and where I go for dinner and this is one of the best. Seeing all having a great time enjoying dinner, drinks and soft music Hemmingways is where to go!....This Review is by Spider Pancake...
We visited Hemingway’s on a Thursday night around 5:30 pm. It was quite busy. There are different areas to sit, including outside. We chose a table in front of the fireplace. The ambiance is great and the lighting was just right. Not to dark or bright. We started off with a glass of wine. My husband had the Oysters Rockefeller for his appetizer. For our entrees, my husband had Seared Scallops over sweet potato grits and spinach which he enjoyed. I had Swordfish which was a special of the night. It was over rice with a special sauce mixed with diced fruit and vegetables served over rice with asparagus. I never had Swordfish this way it was outstanding. There was music by someone singing and strumming his guitar. Our waitress was helpful and attentive and friendly as was the rest of the staff. Overall it was an amazing evening. We will definitely be back!!!
This is a great restaurant in downtown Punta Gorda! The menu is small but well planned; there is something for everyone. The food was absolutely delicious! Well prepared and executed. The live music in the bar area was nice- excellent musician and not too loud! We were able to enjoy our conversation without overpowering noise. Great decor/interior. Excellent service. Highly recommend and will definitely return!
