I moved to Port Charlotte about 3 years ago, and until tonight, still hadn't found THE pizza spot. I read a review on the pizza at the Dough Bar from @MoeTrainEats a few days ago on Facebook. He gave it a rating of 95 out of 100. That was good enough for me! And after trying it tonight, I totally agree. Definitely worth the drive! And since I have a pizza bag in my car, it was still piping hot by the time I got back to PC from PG. It was absolutely delish!! I had the pleasure of smelling it on the way back home, and didn't even think about taking the pic first, before I started devouring!! The sauce was scrumptious, and it had the perfect amount. I don't like a lot of sauce on my pizza, and many times I have to ask for light sauce because they put way too much on. I ordered the pie with pepperoni, banana peppers, and meatballs on half. What I loved best about it was the crust!! Crispy, but with no burn spots. My friend got the lasagna, that came with a side salad. He loved the taste & the sauce, but thought that it was a bit runny. Maybe there was too much sauce? ?‍♀️ Regardless...we went there for the pizza, and it did not disappoint!!! Dough Bar is my new pizza spot!! Besides the food, it was easy to find, plenty of parking, food was ready when I got there, and the woman that greeted me at the door was friendly, professional & efficient. Thank you Dough Bar and thank you @MoeTrain for the recommendation!! ❤

Stop what you’re doing, and run to this spot. Bar none, and I kid you not, best mozz sticks we’ve ever had…. Unbelievable shrimp scamp and the pizza, fuhgettaboutit. The server Julia was welcoming, cool as the other side of the pillow, and was on point…I’m in the fort myers area and am now blind with jealous rage, that Punta gorda can call this place their pizza spot.If you are in the area thinking about pizza, stop pondering. Call dough bar.

Came in on a Monday night. It was not crowded and we were quickly seated. Comfortable, informal ambiance and friendly staff greeted us. The pizza is wood fired and the scent was wonderful. Our pizzas arrived quickly and were large with fresh ingredients. The pizza was tasty but just short of memorable. I would suggest a more yeasty crust, added basil and oregano to the sauce and beefing up the cheese by adding another pungent variety. With a few changes, this restaurant could become a favorite but right now it is a pleasant option from the crowds.

The pizza here is great with nice and thin bottom and just the right amount of crust that's not too overwhelming. They also put on a good amount of toppings which are high quality and none of the meats are too greasy. I really love the Hawaiian, but everything I've tried has been good. The service is solid and the indoor and outdoor seating areas are a great atmosphere.

First time dining here...ordered fried calamari and garlic knots appetizers...entrées were linguini & clams and penne a la vodka which came with caesar salad for a small surcharge...all DELISH...look forward to trying the pizza on the next visit!

The pizza at this restaurant is awesome. It’s lightly sauced and baked in a brick oven. The star of the pizza is the crust which is light and soft as you bite with a proper crunch. We also had the bruschetta that was very good and calamari which was excellent. One member of our party had the lobster ravioli that was excellent and I had the fettuccine Alfredo which was possibly the best I’ve ever had. The cherry on top was our server, Damian. He was attentive, funny and had a infectiously upbeat attitude that made the experience pure joy. We will ask for him every time we return here.

I was very impressed, I had the Dough Bar Supreme pizza, loaded with ingredients, nice crispy thin crust, delicious.My wife had the eggplant parm, another friend, chicken parm and another couple had a Supreme pizza.The pasta dishes were very large and were enough to have leftovers the next day.One of my biggest concerns with any restaurant is cleanliness and this one gets an "A".Our waiter also gets an "A" for timely service, knowledge about the menu and service with a smile.It's not a big place but also has outdoor seating. Get there early to avoid a wait.

Damian is an awesome waiter. The food was delicious. We had pizza, Stromboli, Alfredo with shrimp, eggplant. It was a wonder experience and service was extraordinary.
