Great Japanese food - and not only sushi, though their sushi is superb. The only restaurant I know where it’s quiet enough for a conversation.. good service, Japanese artwork on the walls, great atmosphere.
I love amimoto! I wish it hadnt taken me so long to try it. Such a cute small restaurant with extremely hospitable staff. Everything we ate was delicious. Takoyaki was great so was the spicy tuna roll and Pork Katsu Curry. Only place around that has Japanese curry. I will definitely be going back.
The last two times I tried to eat at Amimoto, I walked in the door and waited for 5 minutes for someone to simply acknowledge my presence. When there are only 3 tables full of people (not busy in other words), you'd think one of the servers or the sushi chef might be able to squeak out a "hello, one moment sir". I won't be going back. The service at Fin is excellent. They don't take their customers for granted.
This is hands down the best quality sushi you can get in Southwest Florida. Staff is always extremely friendly, atmosphere is cozy, and as stated before, the food is phenomenal. The wait can be slow at times, but it is well worth it. Go give Amimoto a try!
The food was great. We've been here twice before and the food has always been good but to ask for a fork 4 times, forgetting a meal we ordered, forgot two miso soups, a salad, and edamame that we wanted BEFORE our meal (that is what an appetizer is after all) is absolutely ridiculous. No apology from anyone in the restaurant. I got to the point I went up to the sushi bar to get my own wasabi because the waitress was not doing it and we asked 3 times. We've been here for two hours and have been waiting for our check for 20 minutes. Our sushi was sitting at the bar for 30min until I finally asked if it was done and come to find out it was the one sitting up at the bar. Very disappointed in the lack of service at this place. Food is great but be ready to sit here for a few hours waiting for food.
Excellent sushi! Enjoyed raw and cooked sushi roll. Had pork dumplings for appetizers. Drinks are reasonably priced. Lovely decor. Fantastic service! Will be back!
