Great food , good service
the food was unbelievable, so good. the waitress was the best. it was pouring outside so we couldnt sit on top. but we will be back. i would give it a 10 out of a 10.
Great food great service! I've had 1 event and 2 reservations for holiday brunches. Staff are friendly and helpful. This place never disappoints. 5 stars!
As much as I would rather not rave about a Punta Gorda restaurant during high season (hard enough to get into these places as it is!), I have to say that the four of us enjoyed a very delicious lunch here! I am always skeptical of hotel restaurants, but this one is an exception. I had the fresh catch soft tacos. It does not come with fries, so I ordered the house chips for an extra $3. (Worth it, and good with the tacos.) One of our friends ordered the mussels. She said they were excellent. Unfortunately, they put the french fries underneath the mussels in the same bowl. Not a fan of soggy fries! Better to ask for the fries on a side plate. The eggplant and parmesan was served on a flat bread. Unless you are a light eater, it may be better as an appetizer than a meal. It was a bit dry, but very tasty. Could use a little more tomato sauce. It was busy for lunch around 1:30 pm on a Thursday, but the wait staff really hustles. Our server, Nicole S., was super nice! With restaurants suffering from a shortage of staff these days, everyone at 88 Keys worked extra hard to be sure that the meals were served in a timely manner, and at a good temp. P.S. Water views are beautiful from the rooftop, too!
A wonderful anniversary dinner. We were seated promptly at 7 pm, and our server, Elysia, was terrific. The missus had a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and the beef tips small plate. She proclaimed the salad the best ever; the chicken was abundant and grilled perfectly. I had a Caesar salad and the pork osso bucco. The pork was fall off the bone tender and the accompanying red wine reduction was very tasty. We split a creme Brule for desert - yummy. It's a little pricy, but worth it. Highly recommended.
Excellent food, presentation, and service from the moment we walked in. We enjoyed salmon, lobster bisque, fish tacos, and key lime pie. All wonderful. Friendly staff. We are glad we wandered in!
We were looking for different setting then our usual places. Stumbled upon 88 Keys would be open for Valentine's Day with a special menu. (Normally they are closed on Monday Nights). Chef sent out some really wonderfully prepared dishes and Kristie J our server could not have any better timing. Piano music very lightly playing in the backrground ( not overwhelming at all). We will be back and we intend our checking into the private group deals as well.
I chose 88 Keys Florida at the Wyvern Hotel for our anniversary dinner and we both agree it was a great choice. The bar was crowded prior to dinner, but it was happy hour. I was worried that our reservation would be delayed as the restaurant was small-ish, but folks were there mostly for the drinks. We were seated promptly at 7 pm. Our server, Elysia, was terrific. The missus had a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and a small plate of beef tips in a puff pastry. She said it was the best she's ever, with the chicken tender and juicy. I had a Caesar salad and the pork osso bucco. The pork was fall off the bone tender and the red wine reduction complimented the pork nicely. We split the creme brulee for desert - yummy. It's a little pricy, but we'll worth it. Highly recommended.
Christmas Eve is better if you stopped by here for the lobster bisque!! It’s amazing ❤️❤️. As a group we ordered everything. They are all exquisite. They can take care of there guest. We’ll definitely be back here for dinner.
We were looking forward to Christmas Eve dinner here this year. Last year was great. But we were very disappointed this year. We got our food 2 hours and 45 minutes after we were seated. I don't care what your issues are, that is totally unacceptable especially for a limited menu with the prices charged here. If you don't have the staff, don't accept reservations you can't manage. Management staff only provided lip service.
