Tacos were dry with barley any flavor . Margaritas that don't even have real tequila in them are 10$ and awful salsa tasted like just diced tomatoes. For 2 people they add a gratuity fee on your check which is never mentioned and then ask for a tip on the receipt. I only caught it because there was a 5.00 charge on the ticket with no explanation. Waitresses were nice ?. I'll probably never come back here again honestly . And I'm pretty sure my food went to the wrong table and got picked up and brought to me after the fact . Really disappointed because the reviews on here were extremely misleading. Should have stuck with my normal place . Waste of money because they're pretty pricey for garbage
Unfortunately not the best experience. The service was nice, but the food is not good. Ordered the taco special, all of meat was very overcooked. It was just crispy small pieces of meat. With the platter you get rice and beans, which you can tell they definitely try to give the smallest amount they can. And then just spread it on the plate to make it look like a lot. And everything seemed watered down, the green hot sauce, the horchata the salsa. I know times are rough right now, but trying to make your food stretch takes away from the quality. Unfortunately will not run back.
Food and service is good. I had a chicken taco salad and truly enjoyed. Will definitely go back.
I had to drive 90 minutes for a special event at work and I was lucky enough to find Taqueria Montano's on my way back home. I got some birria tacos and a couple of tacos al pastor. These we're AMAZING. I dare say it was worth driving 90 minutes just to eat here.I'll sum things up by saying you will be angry at the next thing you eat because it won't be these tacos.
Great flavors but the rice and beans were barely Luke warm. I ordered ground beef and got chicken. The queso was very heat hot but not much flavor. I had high hopes for this place based on reviews. One waitress Pre diner hour, good service but good slow coming from kitchen.
Food was meh at best. Flavorless . Tacos were dry. Vegetarian burrito was hot but no flavor. The salsa cold and no flavor. The guacamole was dark almost black . Surprised by the high rating of this place . I prefer my Mexican food with flavorEdited to add we ordered take out .
Needed a large order for a birthday party. Called 3 other mexican places in the area (Ft Pierce and PSL) just for quotes, prior to this and none of them cared to even get back to me. Taqueria Montano's was extremely prompt and professional in getting me a quote right away.
Ate here a couple months ago… we ordered birria tacos, a steak torta and regular tacos. I wasn’t disappointed but my husband who loves his meat went to eat his torta and instead of small pieces of asada he found one thin slice of steak. He was not impressed. When it comes to tortas they should be juicy and kinda greasy so the bread has something to soak up. This was kinda dry and meh.I’ve never had birria tacos so I have nothing to compare it to but they were decent. I do like how they have different size “packs” to choose from for the birria tacos in case there are more people to share with.
Soup is OK but way too expensive for the food offered!!! These people do not know they are a simple Mexican place with food that is way too expensive!!!
3.3⭐️ I was expecting better food due to current ratings, but 4.6 ⭐️ is way too high and unrealistic. The salsa that comes with complimentary chips was incredibly cold. The nachos were plain. The tacos were decent. My favorite and something that I really liked was birria tacos — outstanding job, and make sure you get them! That rice and beans you can on the side was a bit off for me. The service is friendly and fast, but the prices are a bit too high for what you get. There is a lot of better Mexican options in PSL.
