just a calm wonderful litte place to eat. Good food that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg. Friendly staff too

Great food and the people are awesome!!!

BF went inside to check the wait time for a table for 3 plus a highchair. The hostess told him two to five minutes, so he told her he was going to get everyone. Upon reentry with our foursome, she told him she thought he left... so we waited 12 minutes. It took another 5 minutes on a highchair with a broken buckle. I have a dietary restriction (I cannot have any dairy) so I always disclose that before ordering. I was told that breakfast should be avoided, no big deal. I ordered a Reuben and was given toast with flavorless saurkraut and roast beef (certainly didn't taste like corned beef). No thousand island (which is dairy free). BF ordered a meat lovers omelet with a side of biscuits and gravy. My son ordered the same omelet with a side of bacon. My son and I also ordered orange juice which was $4 a glass not worth it in my opinion. The omelettes were good from both their perspective however we had to wait an extra five minutes for the bacon and the biscuits were incredibly dry. Our server gave us our check less than 10 minutes after giving us our food and we hadn't even really gotten into the food yet. Overall I was very dissatisfied.

dont eat here they are not sanitary they do not wash their lettuce and serve me lettuce with bugs on it in my burger on top of that i bit in to the burger which had the bugs in it i was so disgusted and ontop of that the store owner still wanted me to pay for my lunch and the back of the house of the manager was one to give me my money back sadly i did not take a picture as proof before the waiter swiped my food away when i showed her then told her manager i made a scene when i still tipped the lady and left quietly shame on this store owner because he claims nothing was wrong with my sandwich after feeding me bugs ps several other people were eating items with lettuce in them he basically fed his customers bugs all day on may 18th

Excellent food and drinks. Friendly service. Very inexpensive. You get more than your money's worth, and you will enjoy it. Because of their inexpensive prices, you may want to tip your waitress a little bit more in terms of percentage of your bill. I highly recommend Grandpa's Diner.

I've eaten here twice. The last time I was here I got a fantastic breakfast and our beautiful server Ashley was excellent. I did have to take one star though for the previous time I ate here. I went at dinner time and ordered spaghetti with meatballs and Calamari. Totally my own fault for ordering Calamari at a diner so that's all on me (never do this!). The spaghetti was bad even for a diner. I wasn't expecting grandma's home made but a touch of some seasoning or any flavor for that matter would go a long ways. Same goes for the giant meatballs. It needs to be seasoned.

Went to the US1 location, this time. Same good food,, service and prices. Generous portions, as always. Grandpa was there, working, instead of playing, somewhere. I guess that coming to work, is his joy and I feel it. The wait staff are upbeat and warm. If there was one tiny thing that I would like to see, it would be Coke zero instead of diet Pepsi, but that is just my preference.. This is one of the few places to get a good meal for a fair price, in Port St Lucie. The great staff help make Grandpa's just right, for a casual and hearty meal.

Went today on a holiday so knew it would be busy. Our waitress was amazing, friendly and went above and beyond for our family. My son has autism and she was so incredibly caring and kind to his need. We got his toast with cream cheese before our order because she knew it would help his coping while waiting. Checked to make sure he was okay wth his juice as busy as it was and she was. Little things sometimes are big thingsher kindness today was just what this Mom needed. Food was incredible everyone is super Friendly.

Prices are exceptionally low, the servers are awesome, they are attentive and kind. Food is somewhat bland, but it appeals to the older crowd. (You'll see if you go)Portions are very large and I always leave with leftovers. The servers work very hard so please be patient with them if you have to wait a bit.I've never had a bad experience here. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is due to the bland food. That's NOT the cooks fault, it's honestly how it's meant to be made as I've tried the whole menu just about and everything is made with low seasoning, nothing they did wrong, just not my cup of tea.The owner is very hands on, you'll see as he comes to greet your table.

good food. great waitstaff
