I was looking for a place on the water to take my girlfriend and I found this place, I did not choose wrong. First off we got a server named Joesph (Joe) and he was amazing, he was super inventive and always asking how we were doing. First we got the calamari and you can tell it was fresh, nice freshly fried and the squishy texture calamari should have. I got the fish n chips without even realizing it was a Friday special, even then it was perfect. Literally the best piece of fish I’ve had fried, so flaky and so delicious. My girlfriend got the whiskey chicken salad, she really enjoyed it except she doesn’t like onions and tomatoes and forgot to ask for them off. Side note, only get onions if you really like them, they put a lot so it was very strong. They had a band (idk how often) and i enjoyed them, just have to talk loud to your other person, but they were good. Overall I would come back to this place everyday if I could afford it.
First time here. Live band was good. Loud, but the place is big so you can move around if you need it lower. The food I ordered was very good. The servers were nice and attentive. It was busy with a crowd of all ages, mostly above 40. I would go again, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
We were excited to visit this restaurant as we love it’s sister establishment across the water. However the experience was very lacking. On the bright side, everyone was very nice and the view was beautiful. Sadly that did it for anything positive. It was a Friday night and shortly after being seated the live music began. We were outside on the far end, furthest away from the band and yet it was still extremely loud. Additionally there was music already being piped onto the deck so it was very overwhelming to have both of these hitting you while trying to eat and enjoy the scenery. My husband ordered an Old Fashioned to drink and after a significant wait, someone (not our server) brought it to us, complaining that “she didn’t know where our server had gotten off to” and left the drink. The ice was melted and it looked much more like a Shirley Temple than what was ordered. The food came out promptly and was just “fine”. The clam basket was mostly fries with little clams. We really had a disappointing dinner and couldn’t wait to leave which is usually the opposite feeling one has when sitting on the deck with a beautiful waterfront view.
Just had our party of 50 at Whiskey River and Everything was perfect. The parking was easy, the views were spectacular, the staff and Mgr Mike were all AMAZING! We had a buffet set up and the food was so delicious! ALL I CAN SAY IS WE JUST HAD THE PERFECT PARTY!! THANK YOU Whiskey River for making me look good for choosing Whiskey River for my friends 50th anniversary party.
I've been here a few times during the day, I've had good service from the staff every time and good food.The night time atmosphere that night was great. Live band playing was awesome. I had a clam chowder as a starter which was pretty good.I wouldn't recommend the the bacon wrapped scallops though. They taste good but for $20.95 the plate & 2 premium sides, the plate was underwhelming. It looked like I got an appetizer honestly rather than a dinner. Barely a handful of sweet potato fries, and the Mac and cheese didn't taste or look homemade, it was very bland.
This place has great views and great pulled pork. Really wish non smokers could enjoy the outdoor tables and not be around those smoking. They do have an indoor non smoking section. Love the Friday night bands! It's nice to be able to take your dog!!
A local eatery with large bar area, outdoor seating on river, and indoor seating. Usually have live entertainment. TV’s at bar for sport enthusiast. A fun local open air bar. Te shrimp were fresh and good. Welcoming staff.
I came for the first time on a Sunday Funday.I ordered crabcake It was delicious but pricey for one cake 10.00. The decor in the building seems run down, it could use a fresh upgrade. The staff were really friendly. Musical guests were awesome. I would come back again maybe to experience dinner outside on the river which looked very welcoming.
The starters was..... goodBut enters make me unhappy!I order sirloin (medium well)And I get I small peace of meet dry and microwaved!!!! Please!!!$15 for that plate..... No thanksI sent it back andthe take it out from our bill
Had a great lunch! The Grouper Tacos were on point !!! My husband loved the Grouper burger as well. Such a beautiful view while eating! The server was fantastic.
