Derek was an amazing server for us today!! We knew that the kitchen was short staffed and he did a great job of taking care of us while we waited for our food. Also had some great jokes while we were waiting. Would definitely come back to see him!
So my car group has been going to this location for a few years now. Tonight sucked. A table of 6 people. While waiting for over an hour after placing our orders we watched multiple tables with the same number of people come in, order, eat, and leave. We were asked if we wanted refills....never got them. At some point during the hour the waitress apologized for the wait and brought us a basket of corn muffins. They were cold. After coming back and apologizing again she asked if we would like stuff brought out as it's done (this is after other tables already came in, ate and left). We assumed she meant individual orders to come out as they're done...but she comes back and brings one burger that was overcooked and clearly been sitting for a while and ONE FRENCH FRY ON THE PLATE. Nothing else. We walked out. I'd also like to clarify that we arrived at about 7:45 and they were not even at half capacity. They close at 10. So it's not like we came in as they were trying to clean up. Do better.
The ribs were perfect, fall off the bone !! BBQ sauce was good. very generous portions.
the great food that is for sure had dinner there tonight and was very happy with everything we got. Waitress was the best even the banana pudding was so good we cant wait to try it again
Sonny's has the BEST Baby Back Ribs - period. Bone sucking ribs. The meat drops into your mouth with little effort and is so tender. The sauce just makes your mouth do a happy dance. I have been going to Sonny's for 30 years. I've tried others. Sonny's never disappoints.
We love Sonny's BBQ when traveling in Florida. The people that work there are quite friendly and hard working common type people. The food is abundant and the prices are not too bad considering Biden's massive inflation. Get the pulled pork and garlic toast and put some original sauce on it. Wife likes the sweet.
Something different than the normal ended up here. My girlfriend has never had fried okraShe absolutely loved it.We both ordered the samplerEverything was great and really did not need any extra sauce.Derrick our server was above and beyond.
Today we go eating there second time and I have $5 coupon (picture attached) from our last visit there on 2/4/2022 and we already told to our FIRST waiter that we have coupon and we showed the coupon too and she said okie. Then food sent by SECOND waiter (different waiter), she said the first one giving our table to her and we said okie and we also told her we have coupon. And then middle of our eating, there is THIRD waiter told us that she will handle our table. We think "oh maybe they share tips.. " or any waiter can help us.. then at payment time the SECOND waiter took our money and the way she went to register, the THIRD waiter took the money from SECOND waiter and told her that the FIRST waiter gave our table to her.. and then the THIRD is back and gave us changed and then the FIRST one is back to us and saying she forget to put the $5 coupon and she told me that I can use my $5 coupon next time.. but i told her that it will be expired tomorrow.. its only valid for 14days from the receipt and plus she tear up my receipt with coupon. And she insisted telling me that they will honor it and it happened a lot there. And im asking her how I can be sure that my coupon will still valid after 14days ? And finally , she write the note on top of the receipt. It is very not proffesional how she throw us to two different waiters and after that she didnt apply my coupon and she is not trying to fix the mistake she make.. its very very dissappointing experience for us especially we are new customer there. And I hope the reason she is throwing us to 2 different waiters without explaination ( and meanwhile she is still there handling other tables) not because of I am Asian.

Absolutely AMAZING service!!! Server was perfectly attentive, but not too much to be annoying. He was friendly and funny. Food was SO good. Delicious barbeque, massive drinks, and super affordable!You HAVE to get the BBQ pork egg rolls ??
