New to the Port Orange area and was told by many I should try Ritter's. Today for a late lunch I decided to drop in. Ordered 2 hot dogs, the Reuben Dog, which was very good, especially the very tasty shredded Swiss cheese. The 2nd hot dog, however, unfortunately we didn't notice until we were pulling away and didn't feel like going back to exchange it, after what seemed like a somewhat long wait for the preparation of 2 hot dogs (10 mins + and they weren't busy around 2:45pm), we were given what we believe to be the Chicago dog and NOT the Cincinnati chili dog we ordered. Both dogs were good and priced at $4.29, only wish we had received what we ordered and we weren't given a receipt of any kind. Not sure if we will be back if it usually takes that much prep time, especially during the summer as it is not that enjoyable standing out in the heat waiting for food.
Fresh custard and Italian Ice! The taste is creamy amd fresh. The workers are friendly and nice too! We went twice in two days it was that good! Yummy!!
My family and I love this place. Everyone always jokes we should buy stocks in it. We come to Ritter's once a week because we love it so much. Our personal favorite is the Peanutbutter Mountain it's absolutely amazing, also the Peanutbutter glacier is great too. Daily flavors are great to try if you can't pick a flavor. ?
Great place for ice cream and the occasional hotdog. BEWARE: there is a CREDIT CARD FEE (3.5%)As far as I know this is not disclosed until you see the receipt.Recommended for food though; just take cash!
I didn't like the hotdog combo because fries were cold and like freezer burn then microwaved. They were bland, dry and not deep fried/crispy hot.... We both had the same thing and neither of us were impressed w hotdogs . Didn't stick around for dessert.... Shoulda had a sundae for lunch. ??
Delicious ice cream. Great service. We drove a half hour to come here. They also serve no sugar added ice cream.
Friendly service. Yummy ice cream and Italian ice. The food is not great, but edible. And I wish they had more Italian ice flavors. Otherwise, we always go when in Port Orange/Daytona.
Great place to have a treat. There’s options for the entire family, INCLUDING the puppy! (He’s the biggest fan out of all of us.) Convenient delivery options but in person there’s places to sit and enjoy. I forgot to get the night manager’s name but she’s super professional. There have been issues with DoorDash and I called upset and felt horrible about being upset because she was super nice and handled it amazingly. I know it’s tough to be in food industry right now and hangry people don’t really help that, but these guys/ladies are doing something right.
I live right up the street and was addicted to this place. I would literally go there 3 times a week but the last time I went there I pulled a long, thick piece of hair out of my mouth!!! It was frozen in my strawberries ? I’m so disappointed because now I can’t eat there anymore. They have great ice cream but the owner needs to make everyone wear hair nets! I think that’s a very reasonable and necessary request
I got a small vanilla in a cup with rainbow sprinkles. It was very small and it cost $4.50. And they want a tip too. It tasted very good but so does the same thing at Dairy Queen in New Smyrna Beach and it's double the size and half the price. And that's a fact!
