Been coming here for a number of years when I’m in Daytona and it’s by far one of the best places to come have a casual meal and be around good people. Place is absolutely gorgeous and is always the most friendly staff you could find. If you want a place where you can go sit down have a casual beer at the bar watch TV or sporting event or meet up with some good friends this is definitely the place. Give it a shot because you will not be disappointed.

Just ok. Party of five, fried shrimp, grilled mahi sandwich, fried fish basket - all with fries and pups. We all ate it, but it was just ok - not enough to get us back again. Everything was under seasoned and pretty bland. Shrimp has a very thick, bread like crust. Service was spectacular - kept our drinks filled, orders came out hot and correct.

What a great find! Bigger than it looks from the outside, this family-friendly place with a large bar, indoor and outdoor seating, and a great seafood and drink menu, is a wonderfully run place. Park under the bridge, order at the counter, find a seat, and enjoy the view as your meal is prepared! Don't miss the hushpuppies and key lime pie! Highly recommended! I look forward to returning!

I choose to sit at the bar, to avoid a 30 minute to one hour wait. The service was fast and friendly. I had the fried seafood platter which had good portions of fish, scallops, clam strips and shrimp. I did not order any beers, but they looked like they had quite a selection based on what the other people were drinking. Everywhere had an open view of the Halifax River and boat traffic.

Went for drinks and ended up staying for a bunch of seafood appetizers. Oysters were not fresh fresh which is the only reason for a 4 not 5 rating. everything else was great!

I’ve heard of restaurants being referred to as a “hidden gem,” but this really is! It is partially hidden under the Dunlawton Street bridge in Port Orange. Dine indoors or out…seafood is fabulous as is the staff. Docks so you can tie-up and dine on the Halifax River. Great eats, drinks and prices. My new go-to restaurant in Daytona!

My wife and I have been coming here for years and have always enjoyed the fresh, well-prepared seafood. Portion sizes are large and a very good value. The service is way above average…….efficient, friendly, and helpful. What really sets this place apart now, however, is the most amazing, homemade cheesecake I have ever tasted. I travel a lot for work and always seek out a dessert of cheesecake to finish my meal, and Deck Down Under has found the perfect creator of delicious, lip-smacking cheesecakes to be found anywhere. This individual comes in early, works his magic in the kitchen, and tries to keep a low profile. My guess, though, is that as word spreads about the magical cheesecake offerings here, this individual will become something of a celebrity. Hopefully, this won’t spook him and he’ll be ready for the limelight. Seriously, this dude makes cosmic cheesecakes. Taste a slice and you will agree.

The experience here was great. Service was wonderful, prices reasonable, and the blackened tuna was delicious, but the highlight was the DOLPHIN SHOW. No, the restaurant didn't put it on or anything but literally a pod of dolphins swam up while we were waiting for a table. Make sure you get a seat outside. Catch the sun going down or watch for your own dolphin show. And don't skip the hush puppies. Five stars all the way

AMAZING! Blackened shrimp and grits were awesome! We tried to go here last year but with Covid it had limited hours and wasn’t open that day. So glad we got a chance to check it out for my birthday. Loved the atmosphere, kids loved the food. Excellent hush puppies and the fried scallops were so great. Service was also on point.

Bad food worse service! I don’t get the allure. Zero fresh seafood on the menu. They couldn’t tell me what actual fish they served. Sat for 15 minutes before ever getting service (no drinks or water even). The couple next to us told their server we’d like help the server smiled at them, said okay, walked away and never acknowledged we were there. The food was just awful! May as well have eaten at a chain restaurant.
