We've been to the Monterey Grill several times. The food and service are consistent. Those in our group try different things and we've been pleased with our choices.
If you are looking for a quiet place for dinner, Monterey Grill is your spot. It seems to be extremely busy during lunch, but you can get their great food and excellent service at dinner in a much less crowded atmosphere. We had no wait and our food was delivered promptly. Our waiter was attentive, but he did not try to be overly friendly. My favorite dish is the spinach salad with hot bacon dressing -- the combination of spinach, boiled eggs, apple and crispy chicken tenders is delicious. Reasonably priced, easy parking and friendly staff.
We thought we had a winner, but were we ever disappointed! In all fairness, the food was really good. However, we asked for their delicious rolls and things started going downhill. No rolls until 4 pm. It’s a rule. Any Sweet ‘n Low? No. Any to go cups ? We don’t have any. ( the host just happened to find 2 cups.). Also, we were charged extra for salad dressing (It’s a rule!). Well, we have a rule too. We don’t go to places that treat us this way. This is supposed to be California fresh. It’s certainly NOT Florida nice!
I found this to be a very nice place for lunch. This was our first visit and we wouldn't hesitate to go again. The service was the quickest we have seen lately and our lunches were very good and moderately priced.
It looks fairly ordinary but was still quite delicious! Perfectly cooked, rare, which is difficult to find at most restaurants these days. Fries were fresh and just the right size. Excellent service, great prices, easy parking and easy location. Recommended 10 out of 10!
The service was superb! Emily is an awesome waitress. It's not easy to take care of a party of 12. And the food was very good. This is our favorite restaurant, especially for special occasions. Thank you Ryan.
The bar is adorable. The servers are nice and attentive. Very clean and welcoming place. The prices aren't bad and the burgers pack some great flavor too. ??
I LOVE this place! Food is great, super nice folks, and VERY reasonable prices. My favorite side is the Malibu Spinach (if you like mushrooms) but the Onion Straws are Awesome as well!!
We went to The Monterey grill after reading the reviews and being fairly new to the area. It was about 1:30 pm so it was not busy. both my unsweet and my spouse sweet tea was too strong plus it was so cold in there I had to order hot tea. I ordered the lunch special meatloaf and my spouse ordered a cheeseburger. Sure wish I would have looked at the time because it took a very long time to get our food. The meatloaf had no taste, no flavor even after our server kept telling me it had oregano and lots of people do not like oregano. She offered a to go box and when I declined she said she was having the meatloaf removed from our bill if we would return for a second chance. She said to ask for her and she would make sure we got good food? No, don’t believe we will return.
Best waitress ever. The good was great as always but the waitress really took our experience over the top.
