Everything and everyone
Food was tasty. Our server (young black gentleman.. I think his name was Kevin.. I was in the restroom when he came to the table initially) was new and he was very polite, great at explaining the menu, and even offered some delicious recommendations with what i ordered. 5 star communication. The owner was very friendly. Food came out fast and fresh. I ordered Day boat Scallops with mashed potatoes and sweet potato fries, and My Fiancé ordered the Salmon with fried asparagus with mashed potatoes. We both had Margaritas and they were great. If we’re ever back in Daytona Beach, we will stop by again!
My husband and I went there for 1st time last night. Sam, our server, was fantastic! She checked our table everything she walked by, but didn't interrupt us unless she saw we might need something. The chef must go on a chef contest as the food was prepared perfectly, scallops aren't easy, but were great. The atmosphere was relaxing, and cannot wait to go back.
We had a 4:45pm reservation and were seated promptly. Our server was also prompt but when we ordered two appetizers, we were told they were out of both. They were also out of other menu items. We ordered entrees and were told there would be a 40 minute wait. Not great but we are patient. Our entrees showed up 90 minutes later with our server coming by every 20 minutes to tell us our food was almost ready and apologizing for the wait. We did not abuse our poor server for the understaffed kitchen but we heard other customers complaining loudly of equally long delays. As an aside, on a previous visit, on Mother's Day brunch a year ago, we ordered the Eggs Benedict, which was a specialty on their menu. The egg yolks were completely dried out as if they had been cooked an hour earlier. It will be a long time, if ever, that we take another chance on Malibu Beach which once was a favorite place to take friends and family. Too bad.
Was headed to Texas Roadhouse and decided to stop by Malibu Beach Grill instead. Boy, was that a mistake. Twice the price for half the quality. My son works for Ruth Chris and I was embarrassed I had even suggested Malibu Beach. It used to be pretty good. Not last night. The food was really poor for the price.
We were pleasantly surprised to have accidentally found this restaurant. The service was very friendly and attentive our food was spot on! And when we looked online the reviews were correct, the grilled meatloaf was absolutely fantastic as it was the chowder and everything else we got that evening! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, thanks!
Fabulous food, love to dine on the patio. Perfect place when everyone is in the mood for something different since so many choices and all of it is delicious. The salads are huge, I usually get a meal with a side Malibu or Berry salad, you will never leave hungry. Usually have something to take home for lunch the next day.
We've been coming to Daytona for years and just found this gem! Absolutely awesome! Clam chowder is the best I've ever had. Goat cheese is great. Filet was fantastic. Dessert was excellent too! We'll be coming back often!
Nice atmosphere, food is delicious. Photo is the Malibu burger and creamed spinach (eaten) and panko crusted chicken picatta with green beans and fries. They would get 5 stars if they were not plagued with staffing issues like everywhere else. They were super awesome at resolving the problem.
The BBQ ribs were delicious and the mango strawberry sangria was awesome prices very reasonable my husband loved crusted mushrooms appetizer
