Always top notch food here. Delicious sushi and hibachi.
We go every couple months and LOVE it! Service is great, sushi made at the sushi bar that you can watch from the dining room and I haven’t found a roll I don’t like yet. Cool atmosphere. Food is delicious! Chicken Terryaki, steak, salmon have all been cooked tender & juicy. Bento box is a full food experience with lots of food. Plenty of rice comes with your meal. Tempura shrimp is so tasty! Their food is plated beautifully. We’ve gone for special occasions and they provided a complimentary dessert-fried Oreo! Also it was the year of the tiger when my bday girl got an inflatable headband! She loved it and felt special. It’s a great experience!!
Great food great service Tuna Martini is a must.
Find that the trend here is to become more bar than sushi and more large group gathering place than family restaurant. That's too bad. I will miss it.
For an extremely busy situation in and take out restaurant, the staff never loses sight of its commitment to customer service. The hostesses that greeted us were very pleasant, and our waiter, Kevin, seemed to have a permanent smile on his face, with a very friendly attitude to match. The food was phenomenal, as usual, but maybe a bit more so this time! As busy as it was, we were never without communication for more than a couple of minutes. Definitely a place worth recommending!
I am so very happy for Fin Sushi & Grill. A wonderful place to eat. Polite staff and clean welcoming environment and awesome sushi. My life in Port Charlotte has improved.
We’ve been visiting this restaurant since it opened in 2019. Initially the quality was really good and we enjoyed our occasional visits/take out. Within the past year, we have ate at this establishment twice. The first time, we felt that the quality was much lower than our expectations based on our previous visits and ultimately ended up sick to our stomachs. We’re aware that the service industry is experiencing a multitude of issues in general so we figured we would try again down the road. About 6 months later (today) we decided to order take out again for an early dinner. We ordered sushi and hibachi and found that all hibachi items (aside from the salad) were VERY heavily drenched in butter/oil. The noodles served with the hibachi dinner smelt and looked old and dry. The sushi was ok in terms of taste. Everything sat like a brick in our stomach after consumption and we both ended up sick quickly after. This is not a bad place; perhaps, our bodies just don’t agree with all of the oil/butter/ general quality of ingredients used these days. It’s unfortunate as we really used to enjoy eating here and now we’ll most likely never eat here again simply because we don’t want the displeasure of feeling ill after our meal.
Fin Sushi and Grill is an absolute gem of a restaurant. Service was impeccable and spot on. Atmosphere was inviting and pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have an extensive menu, not just Sushi. For a meat and potatoes kind of guy, the food was nothing short of delicious. New layers of flavor with each bite, cooked to perfection and large portions. Perfect place for special occasions, a romantic dinner with that special person, or just treat yourself to a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning.
Nice shrimp tempura with salad and soup, hibachi, beto boxes, teriyaki and sushi are other menu items. Complimentary appetizers were brought to the table too.
Had a really nice meal, in this very busy restaurant I’m glad we went early, our server was very nice & efficient. We had edamame, sweet shrimp ( with the hottest wasabi I’ve ever had) we had chicken teriyaki & mixed veg & shrimp tempura which also came with soup & salad we could not finish what we had which was a shame we were stuffed full
