It started with the hostesses arguing about which one of them would have to take us. No line or anything, just them arguing... in front of us. Then we were seated. We were seated for a while before anyone came to take our order. Again, not busy, it was a Monday. When our waitress did take our order, she asked if we wanted the kids food to come out with our appetizer, we said yes. I really thug that was such a nice thing. She forgot... which wasn't a problem if she hadn't offered. In addition, she didn't mention they were out of sauce for the onions until after we had them. We wouldn't have ordered them if we had known, and they were burnt and hard. I've been here at least 3 or 4 times, and I've never had a bad time. I'm assuming it was just the staff that was there at that time. I tip a minimum of 20%, but my waitress received a modest 13% on a $75 bill. It's still better than what anyone else would have done.
Nice change of food since we've been eating mostly seafood for a week. Food overall was good though there could have been a little more seasoning on the steak. Only down side keeping me from giving 5 stars is the speed of the kitchen.
Food was very good with a good selections on the menu. Portions were large. Service was good and friendly. Low keyed fun atmosphere. Everyone at our table for 6 really liked their meals. Large restaurant with interesting decorations.
Well... this was mystery meat 100% Service was ok. The waitress really didn't care...never went the extra mile. If you look at the picture, the food left alot to be desired. I mean... how can anyone let the food leave the kitchen looking like this...
My husband and I try to find places that we haven't eaten at before when we are traveling and we had never been to a Cody's. So we stopped in to try it. We loved it! Our French onion soup was amazing and the rest of our food was great as well! Our server did a wonderful job. The only small complaint that I would have is the cocktail that we had at the very end. We ordered an orange creamcicle which we've had before and they are usually absolutely delicious. But for some reason this one was not and couldn't even finish with both of us drinking it. We would not let this stop us from going to this establishment again and we would look forward to going if we are ever close to this area again.
So disappointed! Got half rack ribs and chicken fried chicken and buffalo shrimp.First, the (+): the chicken fried chicken was cooked well, it was juicy and the coating was nice and crunchy and was seasoned properly. The ribs were cooked well and falling off the bone. We each had a baked sweet potato but unless you don't cook it there's really nothing bad you can say about a big sweet potato.... but those were my only positives as far as food goes. Our server was very nice and attentive.Now the (-): the sauce that was on top of the ribs look like it was just laid on like a blanket and had a weird taste that was not very balanced, kind of a little too much sweet and not enough savory. The gravy for the chicken fried chicken was gluggy and overly thick and had barely any seasoning in it except for a hint of black pepper. The coleslaw had absolutely zero flavor and taste literally like cabbage and plain mayonnaise. The buffalo shrimp, the shrimp are actually cooked well they were not chewy or rubbery and the coating had a nice crunch to it and I like things spicy but when it's to the point of heat so hot that you lose the flavor then that's too much and that's how those were.All in all the service was good and the proteins were cooked well but the flavors were either totally lacking or completely out of balance. Not likely I would go back anytime soon.
We usually visit once per year and totally enjoy the food, the wait staff, the freshly tossed salad and all the food. Our visit this year was a total disappointment. From the waitress taking forever to get to our table to her lack of knowledge about the dishes to her barely tossing the salad so that one of us got most of the dressing. The food was just okay and the atmosphere was that no one cared if we enjoyed ourselves or not. Also, it was not busy at all that evening. Big disappointment, it will be a long time before I go back!
Great service for lunch no wait. Great food large portions. If your really hungry and want to go to a classic steak house this place is for you... priced fair with drinks and appetizers will run about 15 a person. But enjoy the giant chocolate cake yum.
Today I came and got a very good meal from Cody's. My server was Kelly she was amazing! The prices were fair. I ordered the 14oz ribeye. I can only give 4 stars because the ribeye had very minimal marbling. And the meat didn't have much flavor. I was able to fix that with the Cody seasoning on the table. But to get a 5 star there will need to be a little improvement. In the end a great place to eat and I'll be back.
This is a great place to eat for the price. Food is definitely delicious. The bottomless salad is great. My husband loves the 1 pound steak burger. Enough for next day. The carrot cake is the best available. The wait staff is great especially Roxie. She really goes the extra mile to make her customers leave satisfied. We also appreciate Steve in the bar area. We highly recommend Cody’s!
