What an amazing experience!!! I’m so glad to say that this place was so satisfying and delicious ? I ordered a red snapper and the food was done quick I was so hungry ? I literally swallowed my food ? the place was very clean, customer was amazing ? and the entire experience was pretty awesome ?? I highly recommend ?

Ordered by phone for pickup and when I got to the restaurant my order wasn't ready. I waited, and waited and waited. Finally got my order and left. So far my expectations for this restaurant were fading. However, the Fish & Chips were excellent. Good portions and cooked perfectly. This is a hole in the wall restaurant without much atmosphere. The restaurant was hot inside and was glad I ordered takeout. However, the food was great and tasted very good. The best fish n chips I've had. Hard not to give this place a good rating but, they l need to tighten up on phone orders and beef up their AC system. Overall: 8.0/10. I will definitely eat from here again. They have a full menu and I'm excited to try something not fried and see how they do.

Great food and atmosphere

Tonight was our second time for dinner at Brothers, and it is now confirmed to be our favorite in Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte. Ordered the paella, and they ran out of rice, so Chef Max offers to make a pasta paella instead. Here's the secret: if Chef Max offers you a pasta, TAKE THE OFFER! Outstanding combination of flavor, perfectly seasoned, brilliantly presented, and everything you can hope for in a dinner experience.Staff is friendly and accommodating even when the place is packed during a Friday night in season. A local gem that deserves more recognition. My favorite. It will be yours, too.

Great food!!!! When fried food is not greasy you know the cook knows what they are doing. Seafood is always fresh and the owner comes around to talk to you. I loved my whole yellow snapper and my husband had the mahi mahi grilled. Our friends were amazed at how good everything was from clam chowder, lobster bisque, sweet potato fries, cole slaw and oysters. Oh, and the calamari was best I’ve had in a long time. We picked the perfect place with My friends and family to celebrate our anniversary last night. They totally took care of our party of 12 with excellence, stayed open later since we made 7pm reservations. We were not rushed even though the staff usually closes at 8pm. Max, the owner even gave us a delicious complimentary key lime pie that he made that day. This is a Port Charlotte hidden gem for sure!

We come here often!! If you are looking for authentic FL seafood, this is the place. We come here often, lunch and dinner. We have had the whole fried snapper, pompano, and swordfish. Green beans are fresh!! The butter tarragon sauce you get with the fish is too die for!! Run here, don't walk!

Had a really nice meal. I had peel your own shrimp(1lb) & fries my other half had pollock, haddock & a crab cake with fries so much food I was stuffed full. Unfortunately our server seemed to have a bit of a cold sneezing & coughing I would appreciate it if staff stayed at home in covid times I was on edge for the next few days Incase she had it!!! Was quite pleased when they sent her out to get ice. Fortunately we survived

(Short version)Ignore the decor. Excellent dining, well worth the very reasonable price. Amazing paella and perfectly cooked snapper. You will be happy with any seafood on the menu.(Long version)From the outside looking in, my expectations weren't very high. The lack of a crowd on a Saturday evening is typically a bad sign. It instead turned out to be a blessing. Drink orders were taken quickly promptly provided. The menu offers myriad options, making a decision difficult. I ultimately went with the paella and was very pleased with the result. The sauce and seasoning of the rice was unique to any other paella I'd had before but a very, very welcome deviation from what I expected. The clams, shrimp, and mussels couldn't have been cooked better. The fish was ever so slightly overcooked for my liking but only barely and was still delicious.I'm a big guy with a big appetite and the portion was perfectly-sized so I left comfortably full without feeling the need for a nap.My father had the baked snapper and it was tender and flaky. Lightly seasoned just enough to accentuate the flavor of the fish without overpowered it.My uncle had the fish and chips and was equally pleased with his selection. The fish wasn't overly battered and fried just enough to be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The fries were divine. Clearly double fried (the correct way) with a crispy exterior and soft interior, lightly dusted with Old Bay (assuming) which is always welcome in my belly. An overall excellent experience, not cheap (always cautious of cheap seafood) but not gratuitously expensive. If we lived closer, this would be a regular on the list of restaurants for me. I was hoping for seafood on this trip and Brother's did not disappoint.

Don't judge a book by its cover. Absolutely way beyond what I expected. This was an high-end menu hidden in a small strip center cafe. The extensive, ever rotating menu delivers great flavor and variety that any seafood lover would be impressed with. The crab and seafood cake offered an overload of fresh fish and shrimp and was nothing like I've ever tried. The service was phenomenal!! We have ONE waitress on 6 tables who was prompt and very friendly. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!!

This little quaint restaurant is absolutely worth a visit. The food is amazing and the customer service is exceptional. We have been there 3 times and each time we have had no issues and have left full and happy. The wait staff are always friendly and their suggestions are spot on. The chef has come out to go into detail of his red grouper special and the fish and chips as well as the seafood cakes are very very good. Definitely will be going back.
