Me and my family had a great waitress that helped us order! Jennifer was a blessing! She is a people person. She is a keeper! Thank you Jennifer for serving us! We came in on Saturday morning two couple and the woman tried to order and change things around and add things to the breakfast menu to get everything we wanted and you took your time to explain the way things works for The Hen and The Hog! She was funny and a great server! Enjoyed the food!8-13-2022
Food was disappointing. Sandwich was so oily to the point the bread was soaked. Even the sides of the plate were covered in grease. Fries seemed to be fried in old oil.Was really excited to come, but I guess I came too late in the day? Got there less than an hour before close… maybe quality suffers that late.Service was ok. Ambiance was below average (was hot and noisy).Rated 3 stars as I’d be open to trying them again, given all the great reviews.
My boyfriend and I stopped here while visiting on vacation, and they did not disappoint. We got seated as soon as we came in the door, and our server, Ann, was phenomenal! She made sure to greet us immediately and made sure we were taken care of, and got refills for us very timely. Oh, and did I mention the food is DELICIOUS?! I got the BBQ pulled pork flatbread ? We will definitely be back! It was fantastic!
After having heard a lot of only positive things about this breakfast/lunch place, we decided this morning to give it a try. We were greeted and seated and had a very nice waitress. I ordered scrambled eggs, sausage patties, home-made potatoes and toast. The only items that were NOT burnt were the scrambled eggs and the toast. When I asked another waitress if the potatoes always look like this (very dark- and obviously burnt) she replied that all the people that order them want them "this" way. Seriously???? LOL - no, I refuse to believe that people prefer to eat burnt potatoes and sausage patties! We also noticed that apparently the "regular" customers were served refills for coffee, whereas we were not. We definitely will not be back.
I like it here and want to like it more. The clam chowder was awesome. I had the classic eggs Benedict and it was very good, except the ham and muffin were over cooked and I needed to steak knife to cut through them. Overall it’s worth going, but I’m a little bias as they serve breakfast all day.
Patty and Jennifer were awesome! Such amazing food and great service! You have a super cute barn-house feel. I am obsessed with plantains so this brunch special was spot on. This place is a must try!
My friend and I eat here a couple week for an amazing vegetable omelette. Sometimes we add grits, home fries or chicken sausage. It never disappoints. I love that they offer Almond Milk for my coffee. This is a perfect place for the meat lovers and vegetarians!

Never went because I saw a bad review months ago. I was so pleasantly surprised at how good it was! By far, the best food in Pompano for a breakfast lunch menu. The place was jammed and the service and food were top notch. Friendly owner there as well. You know it’s going to be good when you see the owner walking around and assisting. Can’t wait to get back there with the kids this time.
Barbie was absolutely amazing she smile every time she approached our table She never once complained even though I kept asking for things . Today is her birthday please stop by and eat and wish her a wonderful happy birthday . What dedication and loyalty she has for the place she works for. To spend her special day serving us I applaud you. Have an amazing day and thank you so much for your service and the entire staff . I actually know the owners from the old establishment. This place is high end I would say the hostess Ms Angela was so pleasant and even gave my husband and I some tips that I asked about.
