We love Nelson’s diner! The past few years, they have not been open on Sundays and we missed that. Now that they are, we are back and really love the food, the atmosphere and the service. The prices are also excellent! Don’t ever change and please stay open on Sunday!
What a great place! Great homestyle food. Really well prepared. There's nothing more to say. A local find for sure. Breakfast anytime & superb diner staples prepared to please.'Courage' is a great man He treats customers like family; close family. Couldn't be nicer, just like Nelson's. Our new Pompano go-to place.
Nelson’s as a diner can become crowded and there is good reason the diner food is quite good. You are able to make a lot of combinations with sides/meats. This is place that has a lot of regulars. Staff are friendly and service is quick. There is some outside dining that is easy to miss because it is on the side.
Standard greasy spoon diner with breakfast and lunch options. Whole place is very 1950’s themed with Elvis decor all around. There’s also outdoor seating with a small table out front and some tables on AstroTurf along the side.Food was solid diner food with lots of options. Their pancakes were great!
It was my first time at the diner. I went with a couple neighbor's who had been there before. The place was not too busy as we got there early but as we were enjoying our breakfast the place filled up. Endless coffee as you pay for you coffee with your order. Breakfast was quick and cooked to my liking. Bacon was crisp, toast was good but I like my rye toast and this was just average bread and they serve hash browns not home fries which I prefer. The prices were reasonable for breakfast and servers are very friendly. I will go again and if you have not been here I would recommend you try it.
What a great find. Went for breakfast, but will definitely go back for dinner. They have great daily specials. Wish we found this place before heading home. Quaint diner with an owner that just loved Elvis. Lots of great pictures & articles of him decorate the walls. Staff was very personable & service was fantastic. Great neighborhood experience.
I just visited Nelson's diner for the first time and I'm truly satisfied. The staff was truly warm, kind and professional. I even noticed our server, whose name was "Courage" was greeting other customers by first name basis and that means a lot. The food was great! I had a meal called "3 to get ready" which was almost more than I could eat. My wife and kids loved it just as much and we'll definitely be back soon. Elvis would have loved this place!!
Florida diners are a dime a dozen but this one rises to the top of the heap. I give Nelsons five stars because it’s breakfasts come fully loaded. If you want eggs you are totally free to add your meat and hash browns or grits plus your toast. My tip is go for the hash browns: golden crispy goodness.
We felt like we'd taken a trip back in time with the music and decor. The waiter was friendly and attentive to all the patrons in the diner, many of whom were regulars. The food was well prepared with more than enough to eat on each plate. If we had been staying in the area longer, we would have taken go boxes for the leftovers.
Throwback diner with service as good as you can get. Great food cooked up fresh. Smiles, and pleasantries uncommon in this day and age of grunts when you say thank you. Superb service.Thank you Nelson's Diner for the way you have started my two days visiting the area. I'd take you back to Nashville TN if I could
