I am a local in Pompano and have been going to his place for years. But for some reason it has changed. I was there on 5/6 and bought a bucket of Budweiser and It cost $18.75 and I paid with my debit card and left a cash tip. I stopped in on mothers day 5/8 and the price for the same item was $26. 75. I complained and they told me its a holiday and they raised the price. I was not happy but I paid my bill with my debit card and left a cash tip as usual. When I looked at my debit card bill they added $5 to my charge. That's not good business. I called them and the manager Michelle said they could not do anything about it and said I had to email them and a did and never heard anything back. Not good business. Make sure you ask prices and check your bill when you go there.
Disappointed in the meals served at Galuppi's. The fries were oily, the cheese plater was sparse, fish was not cooked properly, and the mixed drinks were made with the wrong ingredients. the service was slow and not enough to help customers with their orders. At the end of the night the staff dumped the drinks on the ground (which was fake grass) and rushed customers out . As for price, there is a charge to reserve a table $50 then meals and drinks are not included. The entertainment is the only worth while reason to go. The bands have been excellent. Not sure if the entertainment is the reason people go back, but I would guess that is the reason.
I booked a party of 12 for St. Patrick's Day. I booked 2 tables. Upon making the reservation I had to pay an upfront fee of $100 each table. I paid what I thought was a deposit to hold the reservation. When we arrived, I informed my waitress that I wanted the $200 applied to our dinner bill. The manager came over afterward & informed me that the $200 was the table charge- not a deposit. The tables were not put together as I requested and our other party of 6 was finished dinner before our order was taken at our table. I left a 15% tip because of the bad service and the waitress came after us outside when we were leaving and asked why I didn't leave 20%. I told her that we shouldn't have had to chase her around the restaurant for service. We've gone there every year for St. Patrick's day with a group and this has never happened before. I would never go back again! The corned beef was dried up, the ribs were dried up, the draft beer was warm and the guy that ordered it had to take it back to the bar himself for a replacement. What a horrible experience.
The KISS band that played was SPECTACULAR ! They sounded just like the group and were SUPER friendly with the crowd. A must to check out on Saturday nights !
I want to give a shout out to Galuppi's and their event planning team. Starting with Debi, who put together a wedding for my daughter on a very short notice. It was a beautiful ceremony on a beautiful night. My daughter and her husband will remember this day for the rest of their lives. This was the perfect place for all of the kids that attended, very private. And Darrell, our waiter was an absolute joy to work with. Galuppi's is lucky to have his infectious personality working there. I would highly recommend this place to anyone planning a wedding or party. Thanks again!
Nice place over looking golf course. We had 10 people in our party. Waitress was new. She did a good job. We did have one meal missing. I don't blame the waitress as much as the kitchen crew. Food was good. Overall, I would go back and I would recommend this place to others.
Went o Galupp's last night to eat and listen to band. Husband and I both ordered food. Food was expensive which would have been fine if had been good. Wings were terrible; only ate half of them, fries were cold. Wouldn't order their food again. We did not want to take up a table since we do not drink so sat where we always sit which is the bench outside. Never had a problem before. When waitress brought our bill she said another waitress would be taking over our area. Literally less than 5 minutes later the new waitress came over to us asking if we would be ordering drinks or food. We said we just finished our meal and don't really drink except on rare occasions, especially when we have a 2 and a half hour drive home. She said she was new and the only section she has is the bench so she wouldn't make any tip off of us. There were plenty of open seats on the beach for others to sit so us leaving wasn't going to help her make more tips. I also offered to just tip her without ordering or said I would order a pop, she didn't want us to do that either. She continued to hassle us a few more times and made us feel really uncomfortable. I watched other tables finish their meals and have carafes of water and they sat there all night with no issues. Don't feel the waitress handled it appropriately at all.
Awesome place for meetings, watching sports and hearing some great rock and roll on special nights!
This restaurant was adjacent to the golf course so you can enjoy your meal and simultaneously watch some golfers make their rounds. There is outside seating with a waterfront as well as a stage. Went for breakfast and got the cinnamon French toast and it was very fluffy. Reminiscent of bread pudding. Servers were nice as well. Would go back most def. The Frosé was AWESOME.
This is a very good value for the money at $25 and add the bottomless mimosa or Bloody Mary at $15. All the food was delicious, although the prime rib is very chewy. Surelly is terrific, always making sure you have a fresh drink, and is genuine and warm! Entertainment was a fellow on sax with just enough volume to enjoy while conversation did not require raising your voice. We’ll plan a return visit!
