I like this restaurant and food very much. I eat here at least once a month. This evening i had a bad experience when paying. I paid for my dinner with my American Express card as i always do.. The owner came to my table and told me my card was declined. I didn't understand as I had used the card previously in the day. I never have a problem with this card. I checked my account statement on line and it told me the payment on the card was in pending but approved status. The owner insisted the card was declined. I called American Express customer service from my table. They told me the charge definitely approved. I told the owner and let him speak with the AMEX rep. He still insisted it was my card problem. He then called his credit card system and determined that the charge was authorized and approved. He still asked me to wait at my table. After 5 minutes I went to speak with him again. He said everything was OK but acted very smug. I attempted to say i understood the mix up.. but he had nothing to say...No apology...no explanation. If i didnt go to speak with him im not sure he would have returned to my table. Im not sure I will eat her again.
We stumbled upon this place thanks to TripAdvisor recommendations. I live in Colorado and I am surrounded by great Mexican food. Their mole was definitely some of the best I've ever had!!! Margaritas were great too. Highly recommend
Not what I expected. My chimichanga came without sour cream, sauce and melted cheese. Bland. Although my wife ordered the burrito and it was covered with the melted cheese and sauce. She was happy with dinner. I am a bit picky when it comes to my Mexican food as I have come to expect the cheese and sauce coverings with my Chimichanga as that is how most Mexican restaurants serve it.
Came in for dinner on a weekday. I tried the enchiladas and my son had tacos! Food was fresh and delicious. This is a small family owned restaurant with great food. Salsas we’re delicious and margarita was very good. Definitely will be back!
Love this restaurant! The food is delicious, and the ‘tall” margaritas are exceptional…all hand made…no machines or mixes here. The food is authentic and not mass produced. Attentive staff makes for a great experience.
This place looks like a little hole in the wall place, but looks are deceiving. When we got there the place was empty, but others came in after us. We were told to sit anywhere, so we did. All they have are paper menus. We both ordered chicken enchiladas, mine with a mole sauce, my wife's with a tomatillo sauce. They came relatively quickly. They were completely stuffed with chicken. The mole sauce was amazing and completed the dish perfectly. My wife was extremely happy with her meal. We both agreed that this was among if not the best Mexican restaurant we have eaten at. When the plates arrived, they were extremely hot, which kept our food nice and hot. Also, very reasonably priced.
The $1+ menu price increase of each item we ordered was reflected on the check, not the menu and we were not informed by staff. My wife's fajita platter was char burnt. When I addressed the owner, he told us it was the plate. I told him yes we know what hot plates are but I've never seen fajitas so burned at, say, La Bamba (or any Mexican restaraunt). He informed me this was not La Bamba, brushed the side of my wifes plate with his finger in his attempt to further explain, and then insulted us by bringing practically raw marinated vegetables, with one onion slice that had barely begun to sautée. My own food came with 7 limes, all but 1 completely void of juice. The food was good (except the considerable amount too burnt to eat) but with the owners complete lack of humility and rude conduct, we won't be returning. We love local, family owned restaraunts, even with little flaws, but rudeness will ruin any experience.
I order poor boy steak burrito, big as a football. Not as close as Chicago Mexican food.Parking-enough.Premises- do not have mini bar, no music. Place is fair clean.Waitress/host was very kind.Note: King David the food critic will not return here.
Great place! I really enjoy Mexican food and have eaten pretty much at every Mexican restaurant in palm beach and Broward. This is by far the most authentic Mexican I’ve had in Florida. It’s family owned and operated which makes it that more special.Great service and food and the margaritas are strong!
Very Good and Highly Recommended! Very friendly staff and excellent food! We got the queso dip, chicken quesadilla, and enchiladas. Very satisfied, thank you!
