We stayed in Pompano Beach for our Spring Break (as educators) and as we headed back home decided to check out the State Framer's Market we had seen previously in the week. We drove into the parking lot to see if it was for anyone or just for commercial business and saw Dimitri's Farmer's Market Restaurant (the market is commercial only). They are open until 1pm so breakfast and lunch are the standard fare. Our experience has been "local" places are usually "hidden" gems and this was an excellent example of such. The servers and other employees are very welcoming and friendly. The food is fresh tasting, has generous portions, served hot is very flavorful and a good value price wise. There were many truck drivers from the farmer's market having breakfast or lunch at 10am and in spite of the number there the wait was short. You can tell they were like family to the staff and we were treated the same way even though we had never been there before. We took leftovers home.and shared for breakfast the next day. If we had stopped by earlier in the week we would have eaten there several times. I recommend the "special" of the day (whatever it is!) and don't leave without trying the baklava!
Hidden gem! Came with our family today and enjoyed a delicious lunch. At first I was slightly put off by the simple sounding menu - but take courage, the food is excellent! Delicious turkey club sandwich, perfectly crispy fries, and good coleslaw. The breakfast home fries were outstanding too. Very friendly service and family atmosphere. Recommend!
I so wanted this to be a good down home cookin place, I was so sad when my chicken fried steak was way over done, and small, my biscuit was dence and the size of a silver dollar, Was WAY over priced for the quality... My friends food was bad also, The so called sausage patty was that of a unseasoned, over done buger, no flavor at all. her home fries were bland and soggy. I was so looking forward to trying this place for the first time, Sadly... WE WILL NOT BE BACK. Nor Will I Recommend this place to ANYONE !!! Sorry.
Yummy food, great service! Family owned business makes you feel like family! We make sure to come every time we are in Pompano!
The food Is great and the service is really good. This is a gem that not many people have discovered and I hope it stays that way.
Had an excellent breakfast at around 1PM today. Had the corned beef hash, with home fries, rye toast, scrambled eggs, and added a side of crispy bacon. It's not the best corned beef I have had, but it was top 3. The bacon came out perfect, asked for extra crispy.
