This place became cheap with the new owners ( I hadn't been there in a while). They downsized the pastel and the filling is an embarrassing amount now. Highly disappointed and embarrassed to have taken a German friend along. The place was once fair and tasteful to the max, you got to experience your food, now you barely get a bite of stuffing and the outer dough is of inferior quality, withholds too much grease, and about half the size it used to be. What a shame. I do NOT recommend.
My husband is crazy for pastel! He was so excited, but ASA we entered the place, and it was empty, I thought something is wrong! There were three employees. Three girls (I mean it! Girls) none of them had a pleasant attitude with us for a business place. The attendance was terrible, the pastel was either. So from now on, I make my own pastel at home!Lesson learned!
Greatest place for Brazilian pastels around. They have so many different flavors. Great customer service and clean restaurant.
Coming into the place I had high hopes. We order one pastel with chicken, beef, and cheese. Out of the three, only the cheese was good. There was a weird spicing in the beef that ruined the pastel. The chicken was just dry. And the cheese was the only decent one since they don’t make the cheese itself. We had also ordered drinks and got Sugar Cane juice. The first cup they gave us was natural and good. So we got a second cup but inside it looked like it had bugs. The lady that took our order denied it and said it was part of it, even though there wasn’t anything like that in the first cup. The bathroom doesn’t look that great, and they don’t even have a proper soap dispenser.Overall, very bad experience.
Lots of variety for pastéis plus many other Brazilian snacks and treats.
This place has it all and we only had a taste. We ordered the cod croquettes, chicken ball, and the baked chicken empanadas. Everything was homemade fresh and flavorful. Our favorite were the empanadas. The menu had so much more we can’t wait to go back and try more of it. The fresh mango juice was delicious as well.
Good , but smaller portions on almost everything. Esfiha , Kibe, and Guaraná too expensive. The only good thing is that they have kept the Texas Pete hot sauce, Which I like much.
I love this cafe, honestly best to go here in the morning and have their pastries while it hot.Top pasties to try/have:Chicken with cream (to so creamy and cheesy, the chicken is clean!).Kibe is good too! (Ask for lime it pairs well)Calabasas Empanadas!Cream cheese with corn Empanadas! To pair it up with a freshly made Cane juice or have a guanana soda!I love that it close to my house so I came stop by anytime lol
Great bakery! Chris has awesome customer service. Definitely recommend if you’re planning on passing by.
