Stopped in for lunch and we ordered a burger and a beef sandwich, with a side of homemade potato salad. Good, freshly made food and friendly staff. Best of all, we just loved our waitress Rhonda. She is the definition of “service with a smile”. We’ll be back!
This place is amazing. Period! I grew up in Pompano Beach and Calypso has been an institution for over 3 decades. The service is fantastic but the food is to die for! This is some fantastic seafood with daily and weekly specials and they consistently deliver excellent food! Try the shrimp and scallop burger if it’s on the special menu. The stone crab mustard puts this over the top! The raw oysters are phenomenal. On my last visit to S. Florida, I dined here every day. Yeah. It’s THAT good!
Very friendly atmosphere. Wait staff was very attentive. Food was quite unique and that is what I was looking for. I will return.
Stopped by after someone recommended we do so, and we were very happy we did. Wife had fried whole red snapper, I had grilled Conch. Food was amazing, and the restaurant was a very nice, local establishment. The kind of place you may drive by and never try if not for trip advisor!
Really good stuffed shrimp & fried plantains. My husbands chicken was great. The spicy cucumbers are different than what they used to be. I remember them as a spicy Italian vinaigrette & now they have like a spicy mustard type liquid. Liked the previous cukes better but the delicious seafood makes up for it.
attentive staff. amazing always fresh menu. all your faves and then some been enjoying calypso for over 25 years!! always tastes incredible..and reminds me why they're STILL around cracked conch shrimp bruscetta bouillabase oysters cold beers pigeon peas and rice
Very clean and nicely, but not overly decorated, just right environment.
Loved it! Food was fresh and plentiful and delicious! Had the potato salad and fried shrimp. Hubby had the friesd scallops with rice. Lunch was very reasonable and high quality. Definitely will be back on a regular basis!
