Our first time at the restaurant and was very pleased with the service and our meal.
Wondering if the chef has changed? We have always enjoyed great meals here previously. Last night, the duck/pasta dish was very oily, the pecan pie was tasteless and the salted caramel bread pudding tasted more like a cinnamon roll than bread pudding. To boot, there was a toddler with headphones on at the adjacent table screeching throughout the meal. Disappointing result overall.
Food quality and portion sizes for Sunday brunch were excellent! Our servers were very kind and generally accommodating, although it did seem to be pretty slow for there only being a few customers, and one drink order was completely overlooked.
Usual excellent food but was rushed
Hudson valley foie gras, steak tartare appetizers were outstanding!
One of my favorite restaurants! The food and service is always perfect.
Great food and service! Highly recommend Cafe Maxx.
We enjoy going to Cafe Max for special occasions. Great food, great atmosphere.
Celebrating 13yrs of dating and every year possible weâve celebrated at Cafe Maxx. We know weâll have an excellent meal and always a lovely bottle of champagne. We started with a lovely Asian salad with peanut dressing. The entree filets with red wine sauce were perfection, as were the veggies and scalloped potatoes. We were treated to a wonderful crème brí»lée with fresh fruits and decided to finish with a cappuccino. Angie was a delightful serverâ¦..as are all the servers weâve come to know there. Congratulations to Darrel & Oliver for about 38 yrs of excellence!!
It was our first time going to this restaurant and we were very disappointed with food , drinks and service. I would not recommend this place if you are foodie and looking for nice, quiet place to enjoy your dinner. Letâs start with drink.. I ordered â lemon dropâ cocktail which always comes with sugared rim. Mine came like margarita with salt and was very sour. Our waiter wasnât even in presence so I had to get up and go to the bar to add some simple syrup. The funny part, the bartender knew what I came for . When I said I got lemon drop , he replied: more simple syrup?? Really??? The food sounded better on menu than itâs taste: so much mayonnaise sauce over octopus so we couldnât even taste it. For main dish I took snapper which I had to dig out of the huge pile of fried onions with price tag of $53. Not worthy!
