This was a great finding for Memorial day, was one of those days in which you decide to explore your are and you find out that there are great findings. This was Vivace, an Italian restaurant I feel with a modern touch not too formal not too classic, a very nice place in Plantation on Broward boulevard, this is I believe a growing place, a restaurant in development from a good concept, out of the regular chain restauran and one I hope preserves its essence. On Memorial day, the place was not crowded and service was good, our waitress in training did her best and succeeded in making us to have a great time, actually we were so fortunate that we could experience a teaching of how to open and present a bottle of wine, this was something unexpected that made the occasion more reminding. We decided to start with a Burrata with prosciutto, perfect size and blend of flavors and ingredients to perfection. The atmosphere was awesome, from the flavors to the music itself (perfectly matched Italian music, more in the casual soft pop and classic), this combination made you fill somewhere else besides Florida. Our wine recommendation could not be better, a Californian Coppola black label red blend, made that not only the wine lesson was outstanding but also the taste of this selection. For main dish we decided to go with the Cheese ravioli on bolognese sauce, I can only say this was amazing one of the best I have ever had and sauce cooked to perfection, even you can feel it is not coming from a can, this is a home made recipe tomato sauce, Soft tender ricotta cheese in a very generous portion. We also had the eggplant parmigiana in the luch special, that for its price it is a lot for what you pay for, I am amazed that a restaurant serves so good food for that great price in a lunch special. This eggplant came with salad and pasta, and a very delicate presentation of gound eggplant mixed to dough with bread crumbs that made everything so soft and perfectly balanced. We ended our lunch with the house tiramisu, and this is a must if you want to end your lunch or dinner in a perfectly satisfying way, wow!!! What a soft enjoyable cake, please try it with the house espresso. Definitely a place I will visit again, one of those great findings near you house, as said before, a small place but with a kitchen that serves from the heart. Congratulations Vivace please remain that way.
Is the pizza good, YES! But the service....is horrendous. Sadly I did not get the gentlemen's name, but he wears his hair in a pony tail. HOW RUDE! I went to pick up an order that was placed, he asked where I placed my order then completely ignored my existence. Until, I asked him, have you found the order, his response, "I still have to look for it." Meanwhile, he has dropped menus to table, grabbed a drink for himself, and was drinking it while staring at me. Then I said, oh that what I thought you were doing cause you looked confused, he told the girl right next, take care of her cause I'm not going to. I love the pizza, but I will officially resign from this place being my go to pizza spot just because of him. For a family run restaurant, I expect more. Sadly, this is not the first time that the service has been bad. Its not like they are even short staffed, they have tons of staff, starring at each other, doing nothing for the customer because they are socializing. Please fix the service.
This restaurant is AMAZING! From the minute you walk in the door, the ambiance, the freindly staff, menu options and more. The food is fresh, tasteful and the portions are perfect.I can not wait to return to Vivace and I can not wait to share this restaurant with my friends and neighbors.Run don't walk, you will not be disappointed.
By far the worst experience I have ever had. After waiting for an hour and 20 minutes for a pizza to come out I had to get up and leave. People that got there an hour after us received their pizza within 20 minutes. How is it possible that 3 tables that arrived 40 minutes plus after us received their food before us. It’s so disappointing because my family and I were really liking this restaurant. Honestly at that point it felt like we were being discriminated as we were the only Hispanic table inside the restaurant.
Their pizzas are awesome and also the pasta and Lasagna. Don't care much for their Hawaiian pizza though not sure why.. it's bland. Maybe fresh pineapple would improve it?
Friendly and courteous staff. My wife and I had the Chicken Piccata.& Eggplant which were very goid.
Definitely recommend this Italian restaurant located in Plantation. The food served here is nothing sort of delicious and place is super clean. I have been here several times and my usual is Alfredo pasta, Garlic focaccia knots, and Tiramisu. The table service is decent and could be better. Finally this place makes it to top of the list, if I am craving for some good Italian food.
The fresh bread tastes great and the interior design is beautiful and the presentation is on point. That being said, just like the fabrication of the interiors, the food looks great at first glance however, upon the first bite, it becomes apparent that the word "gourmet" seems to be merely a means to serve mediocre food at elevated prices. The unrefrigerated half covered raw pizza dough standing in a cart in the corridor to the restrooms during our entire stay is rather unsettling.
Just ordered from Vivace after a long time waiting to try this place. The pizzas were cold as ice and tasteless, and the cheese was not melted. The chicken parmesan was hardly enough for one person and tough.Forgot the dressings for the salad. The Manager blamed it on Uber eats for being late...He is not the one who cooked the food SIR! HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT..I WOULD NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN
The pizza is cold and tasteless and the chicken parmesan is tough and tasteless....NOT WORTH THE MONEY...Forget the dressings for salad.
