This is my second time to this location and it’s small, cluttered and dated. Not enough ventilation, it gets super Smokey and hot when the chef are preparing hibachi. The food is okay, I was disappointed in the fact that they didn’t have other appetizers that did not involve seafood. It was very limited to tempura vegetables/chicken and gyozas. The preparation of the food is good, it just depends on your services and cooks. My first experience here was not as good as yesterday evenings but I’m willing to give it one more try but not for a while.

Place was good when for my daughter’s birthday. Food was good the prices definitely went up .. pretty much just like everywhere else. Server was very good and attentive. Fans blowing directly on us was a bit annoying.

Their food prices went crazy up and portions went down along with the taste of their food. After 23 years of supporting Japan inn at both locations I feel it has came to an end today. With the menu changes and food service I received today, it felt as if I was getting robbed. I paid $16 for 5 pieces of sushi that was halfway rolled and falling apart. Also don’t get me started about my wife’s food. Overall they lost a good customer, thanks but no thanks.Over priced everything, might as well go to Las Olas for sushi (sushi rock). At least the food will be better and portions definitely larger. New management at Japan inn is running the place into the ground. Only one vent is working, once you come out you’re smelling like you worked in the kitchen for 5 days… horrible. Once again thanks but no thanks…

I called ahead and had to wait an hour to be sat once in the restaurant I was move because the seating was didn’t have enough seats for my party. We were then move to a smaller section with 2 less seats then we needed.Once move I was placed under a vent that drip the entire night and looked like it had mold growing from it.I would not recommend this experience to anyone and think a health inspection should be done. Most of the vents look like this and the staff is not concerned they dismissed as if I was over reacting.Management was nowhere to be found when we got out final cost. I think they were avoiding us.

I was just here for our Mother's Day lunch with my husband & 3 year old daughter. The restaurant is clean & cozy. We were seat immediately. The hibachi show was great! Food was delicious & drinks were even better. We'll be back soon!!!

1st time here and the experience was amazing! Food was delicious and plentiful. Definitely had a to-go box ?

Sadly I can no longer recommend anyone to this Japan Location anymore. To start I’ve been coming to the location over the years since I was 21. Use to be amazing & exciting place to come. But sadly that has changed over the years now in my mid 30’s now I’ve slowly seen this place going do there drain. Mens Room looks like a trap house, and run down. Was at this location a few months ago and mens room was okay! But…. Now that changed due to one bathroom with no door on it and we all using the woman’s bathroom for men and woman at the same time! WFT and you have kids? Anything you touch has grease on it, and not cleaned. Everything in the place looks run down. Place doesn’t even have enough chefs to cook. 1 1/2-2 hours to even eat your food. Once you get someone the food is good though. But sadly I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come to this location til they get this place fixed up better, fully cleaning procedures in place! I’ve been in the food industry and boy this restaurant gets a F+. Beware and expect a wait! Not a in and out serving anymore. Not even a place for little kids to enjoy anymore. Remap it out Japan Inn! In a few months I will return to site and see what we have now! *****Yelp Review & Google reviews **

I was with a party of 3 for a regular table and was immediately seated however after the waitress took our drink orders it’s like she completely forgot about us. We never got our drinks or greeted again. After waiting like 30 mins we just walked out. I know it was busy but it’s never that busy where you completely forget about your table. So sad cause we actually like this place and it seems like it’s going down hill.

I have been to this restaurant probably at least 30 to 40 times. I have always had a great experience, terrific service and wonderful food. But tonight, my physical birthday, worst service ever, worst cook ever, and now my friend and I are both very sick from the food. Will never return to this restaurant ever again. Does not even deserve one star. But it wouldn’t allow me to write the review without filling one star.

My husband and I were in town to visit my father and brought him here because it is one of his favorite restaurants. The decor is very nice, the hostesses were very helpful with my disabled father, and our chef was extra entertaining! We have been to a lot of hibachi restaurants over the years, and I thought the food was quite good in comparison. Sometimes, I find that hibachi places use too much salt, and I thought our chef used just the right amount. My husband and father enjoyed their steaks and I enjoyed my shrimp. The fried rice was extra tasty and the portions are HUGE. Very good experience and we will definitely return the next time we are in town.
